About Viv
I am an experienced teacher with a personal interest in language and literacy. I have spent many years teaching in countries where English is secondary - China, Egypt, Kuwait, Hong Kong, China and Uganda. I hold teaching qualifications, a Master of Education as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Second Language Teaching. I tutor face-to-face and on-line.
I have helped learners deal with pronunciation and grammar patterns to overcome confusion when communicating with others.

I help learners with their own specific needs, working from what they already know or what they find most challenging. The initial lesson helps me establish needs and a beginning place as every learner is different. Lessons are intended to help the learner navigate communication from their own position, building understanding of the language including structure and complexities that can be confusing.
The learner's needs drive the lessons rather that having a fixed progression. Lessons build on each other and spiral so changes in patterns and usage can be addressed as is relevant.
