About Jyothi
Dr. Jyothi Katari – Passionate Educator, Researcher & ELT Specialist I am Dr. Jyothi Katari, a dedicated and passionate teacher with 18 years of experience in teaching English language and literature to undergraduate and postgraduate students. I hold a Ph.D. from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, specializing in American Literature. My doctoral research focuses on A Sociological Study of Jonathan Franzen’s Selected Novels. I also hold an M.Phil. in American Literature, with a dissertation titled The Role of Family: A Study of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird and Go Set a Watchman, and an M.A. in English with a specialization in English Language Teaching (ELT). Throughout my academic journey, I have actively contributed to the field through numerous publications in literature and language, and I have presented more than 10 research papers at national and international conferences. My primary research interests lie in English Language Teaching and American Literature. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am deeply committed to integrating technology in language education. I have authored several academic articles on the use of modern technology, digital tools, and educational apps to enhance English language learning and skill development. As a trained educator from the British Council and the Cambridge University Assessment Council, I have been coaching students for the Business English Communication (BEC) tests by the University of Cambridge, and the Global English Testing Service (GETS) for Higher Education by the University of Cardiff. I also hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching English from the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad. I am an active member of the ELTAI (English Language Teachers' Association of India) and have contributed as a soft skills trainer. I have designed innovative courses such as Employability Skills and Comprehensive and Communicative English for graduate students. Known for my expertise in teaching grammar across all learner levels, I bring patience, empathy, and deep understanding of student psychology into my teaching. I strive to guide learners toward the right academic and professional paths, ensuring their holistic language development.
