About Ewan
I have over 8 years of experience helping students become confident and versatile guitar players. I hold an **Associate of Arts in Guitar Fundamentals**, giving me a strong foundation in technique, performance, and music theory. My lessons are designed for beginners as well as experienced musicians who want to refine their skills. I specialize in preparing students for band auditions, ensemble playing, and live performances. I believe great musicians are built through consistency, creativity, and collaboration. My teaching style is encouraging, focused, and tailored to each student's musical goals. I help students develop solid rhythm, clean technique, expressive playing, and confident stage presence. We work on timing, dynamics, improvisation, and effective communication within a group setting. I also teach how to listen closely, support fellow musicians, and perform with confidence during rehearsals and live shows. Every lesson combines practical exercises with songs and performance-focused activities that keep learning enjoyable. I provide constructive feedback to help you improve steadily while staying motivated. Whether your goal is joining a band, performing on stage, or becoming a stronger all-around guitarist, I will help you reach your full potential. Together, we will build the confidence, musicianship, and performance skills needed to stand out in any musical setting.

Learning guitar should be enjoyable, practical, and rewarding from the very first lesson. I create personalized lessons based on your goals, musical interests, and current skill level. Every class combines technique, rhythm, ear training, music theory, and performance in a balanced way. I believe theory becomes meaningful when you can apply it directly on the fretboard. We will explore scales, modes, chord construction, harmonic analysis, fretboard navigation, chord progressions, improvisation, composition, and songwriting through real musical examples. My approach demystifies music theory by showing how it shapes the songs you play and create. Students interested in rock receive focused coaching on expressive playing, solos, stage confidence, and creative performance. Those who enjoy classical guitar develop precision, musical interpretation, fingerstyle technique, and a deeper understanding of harmony. I provide tailored guidance so your theoretical knowledge naturally becomes fluent and confident playing. Every lesson includes practical exercises, familiar songs, and hands-on activities that keep learning engaging. Regular feedback and structured practice help you improve with confidence and consistency. Together, we will build a strong foundation for improvisation, composition, and lifelong musical growth. My goal is to help you become a skilled, expressive, and versatile guitarist in any musical style.
