About Samantha
I am an enthusiastic, highly personable former college instructor who loves working with students. I have a BA in European Studies and History, an MA in Humanities, and I am ABD, PhD in History.
During my 8 years of teaching history to high school and college students, my main objective has always been to make it enjoyable, fun, and most importantly, relevant to my students' lives. History isn't just a dry list of names and dates that has little to do with our 21st-century existence. Instead, it is a collection of exciting, interwoven stories that explain who we are and why the modern world works the way it does. Since many of these stories are absurd, unlikely, and entertaining, a tutoring session without laughter is a very bad session indeed!
