About Zonke
Hello and welcome! My name is Zonke Ntombela, and I’m a SACE-registered educator with several years of teaching experience across both the Foundation Phase and Senior Phase. I currently serve as an Assistant Principal, and I specialize in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Teaching is more than just a job to me, it’s a calling. I’m passionate about helping learners build confidence, master key concepts, and enjoy learning. My lessons are learner-focused, interactive, and tailored to meet each student’s unique needs and pace. I’m proficient in IsiZulu and able to code-switch between IsiZulu and SeSotho, which helps ensure that learners feel comfortable and supported in their learning journey. Whether your goal is to catch up, improve your marks, or build a stronger understanding of math and science, I’m here to help, every step of the way. With patience, structure, and encouragement, we’ll make real progress together. I look forward to working with you!

My Teaching Approach and What to Expect As a passionate and experienced educator, I believe in making learning engaging, practical, and learner-centered. My teaching style is interactive and supportive, focused on helping students truly understand concepts rather than memorizing them. I use real-life examples, visual aids, and step-by-step guidance to break down complex topics, especially in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. I am fluent in IsiZulu and can comfortably code-switch between IsiZulu and SeSotho, ensuring learners understand in the language they are most comfortable with. What students can expect from my lessons: A warm, respectful, and encouraging environment Clear explanations and interactive teaching methods Help with homework, revision, and test preparation Regular feedback and progress check-ins My lessons are aimed at Foundation Phase to Senior Phase learners, whether they need support to catch up, want to strengthen their understanding, or aim to improve their marks.
