About Amir
I am an Islamic Studies educator based in Lagos, Nigeria, with a B.A. in Islamic Studies with Distinction and over three years of hands-on teaching experience. My background covers Classical Arabic grammar (Nahw and Sarf), Quranic recitation, Fiqh, and character development, working with learners from age 6 through adulthood in both classroom and one-on-one settings.
Beyond my formal qualifications, I have designed and tested a structured literacy framework specifically for Quran beginners — built around how the Arabic writing system actually works rather than rote repetition. Students who have struggled for years with traditional methods regularly see real progress within their first few weeks using this approach.
I am punctual, structured, and genuinely invested in each student's progress. Teaching is not something I do casually — it is a core part of how I contribute professionally and spiritually.

I teach complete beginners how to read the Quran through a structured three-phase framework: mastering the individual Arabic letters (Huruf), understanding how vowel marks change sounds, then learning how each letter changes shape at the start, middle, and end of a word. This sequence gives students a logical foundation that traditional methods often skip.
Most students reach independent Quran pronunciation within three months of consistent sessions. Lessons run 45–60 minutes and are delivered online via Zoom or Google Meet. I provide written progress updates monthly so students and parents always know exactly where they stand.
I hold a B.A. in Islamic Studies with Distinction and have over three years of teaching experience working with children, teens, and adults. My lessons are open to all ages and all levels — complete beginners are especially welcome.
