About Martin
Skateboarding has always been a passion for me, it helped me through some of the toughest times in life and I believe it is one of the most social and creative sports out there. I started skateboarding in the streets at the age of 5. In 1991 at the age of 10, I started to skate at the park and quickly progressed, entering competitions at the age of 12. During lockdown, it gave me a free safe outdoor activity where I could connect with people and at the same time, develop my skills as well as my fitness. In recent years I encouraged my children to learn skateboarding, which led me to get into coaching and now I want to inspire the next generation of young ones as well as support adults who want to try something new.

In these lessons you will learn the fundamentals of board control, foot placement and balance. You will gain confidence rolling and learn how to navigate a skateboard park and the obstacles within. As you progress, you will learn basic tricks moving on to more advanced moves like dropping in and skating a mini ramp. Lessons can be adapted to your skill level to make sure you get the correct support and progress at a pace that suits you. I offer support to all genders and sexualities in a friendly open way and can support adults or children.

Excellent! Martin did a great job of introducing my daughter (8) to the basics of skateboarding. The sticker and card system works well, and he managed to engage her even though she was shy.
Perfect! Martin was excellent with my son, patient and explained all the fundamentals well. My son came away buzzing and looking forward to his next lesson.
Perfect! He knows what he’s talking about and explains stuff in a way that’s easy to understand and makes sense. His lessons are also quite fun.
