I would like my students to take the concept inside their heads dig it and learn every single thing about it, only then my student will be thorough about whatever he or she is studying. I would not ask my students to by heart the concepts. Understanding it is the first and the fore most thing. Chemistry you will learn is not normal. I will try to give all the day to day examples so that you understand the concept better and learn it well.
