About George

Hi, I'm George, a creative tech mentor in New York with 5+ years of experience. I've taught 40+ students, and I worked as a lead instructor at a coding school for kids, where I taught LEGO Spike robotics, Minecraft Education, Roblox Studio and Python.

I love the moment a kid sees their robot move for the first time because of code they wrote. My lessons are patient, hands-on and built around that feeling: we build, test, fix and try again.

I also teach Roblox game development, 3D modeling in Blender and Python, so kids who catch the bug for robotics can keep growing into real coding.

Lessons in English or Russian.

About the lesson

Kids learn robotics the best way: by building a robot and making it move with their own code.

We use LEGO Spike sets. Each lesson the student builds a model (a car, an animal, a machine with gears), then programs it with block coding on a tablet or computer, and tests it until it works. Older or more advanced kids move on to sensors, motors and more complex programs.

How it works:
- Free 45-minute online trial lesson to meet and pick the right level
- Weekly 60-minute lessons, at your home in Queens, Manhattan or Brooklyn, or online
- Lessons adapt to the child's age, level and interests
- After every class parents get a progress update

What you need: a LEGO Spike set at home (Spike Essential for younger kids, Spike Prime for older kids). Not sure which one to buy? I'll help you choose the right set before you order.

Great for curious kids who like to build with their hands. No experience needed, students can start from age 7.

Free trial: 45 minutes online, to meet and set goals. For an in-person trial, the lesson is free and you only pay the travel fee.

Lessons: $60 for 60 minutes, online or at your home.

Packs: 5 or 10 lessons, booked in advance, same hourly rate.

In-home lessons: travel fee depends on your neighborhood (Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn). I confirm it before we start.

Cancellations: let me know at least 24 hours before and we'll move the lesson to another day.
