FAQ's
📚 When is the best time to begin 11 Plus preparation?
Year 4 is widely considered the ideal starting point for 11 Plus tutoring, giving children two full years to prepare.
- Year 3 (age 7-8): Focus on building confidence and core English and Maths skills without exam pressure.
- Year 4 (age 8-9): Begin targeted practice with exam-style questions while keeping sessions manageable.
- Year 5 (age 9-10): Polish skills and build stamina through regular mock tests and past papers.
A gradual two-year approach often produces better results than intensive short-term cramming.
💰 What is the price of 11 Plus tuition in New Waltham?
11 Plus tuition in New Waltham typically costs £15/h per hour.
Prices vary depending on several factors:
- Your tutor's background and expertise (teaching credentials, 11+ specialism, proven results)
- How selective the schools you are aiming for
- How lessons are conducted (one-to-one, small group, online, or in-person)
- How often and how long each session lasts
Many tutors offer package deals or sibling discounts, which can reduce the hourly rate over time.
🎯 What subjects are covered in the 11 Plus?

- Mathematics: Covers numerical operations, shape properties, data handling, and applied problem-solving.
