Depending on what the child/young adult is keen to learn/work on, I can mould lesson plans around their ultimate goal set. My highest qualifications are vocal techniques, whether it be singing or speech, as well as text annotation and directing monologues for perhaps future auditions/audition prep - what to do/not to do.
My teaching method varies from student to student. There is no one right answer with Acting and so my methods are flexible to work around the needs of the individual. I like actors to have a strong internal connection with there characters and feel confident about the choices they make. I use a variety of practitioners methodologies to help students create this internal relationship.
My teaching method is based on a range of theatre practitioners. A lot of it is movement based and aims at connecting speech to the muscles of the body.
My teaching methods follow The Stanislavski Method. I followed this closely and was taught this while I was drama school and I believe it’s a beautiful way to create deep and meaningful characters.
I like to teach students to base their characters around an experience to reveal more emotions and engagement with the character.
I am an experienced tutor who is still passionate about their subjects and the process of teaching. Learning should be a choice and not a chore.
I'd like to see and shape your speeches, finding character intentions and context. Big focus on using the voice to tell a story (an invaluable skill that drama school taught me), as well as finding a full character's physical presence.
