Hey, I'm 19 years old and I'm here to help you with your maths needs. Everyone's different so I'd let you guide me into where you need help and any particular problem areas you have. I would suggest that practice makes perfect with maths so there'll be a few practice questions to do.
I believe that a subject such as mathematics is best practiced through application. This generally involves the student working through questions to the best of their ability before reaching a point where their own understanding falters. This gives a chance to highlight what part of the theory or process has to be clarified in order for work to improve.
I base lessons on the curriculum and the school's scheme of work aimed for each year group. I teach by modelling excellent examples with clear and concise methods. Once students are able to understand basic methods I provide challenging/ engaging resources in order to secure depth and understanding through problem solving questions.
I have a master's degree in business with a focus on finance. Mathematics has always been my favourite subject and I've tutored in algebra for both peers and students my junior and senior. I try to listen carefully to student needs and use that to create my teaching methodology. I work on the same problems as my students in an effort for us to complete a learn as you go methodology.
Im a Maths university student looking to teach primary school to alevel students. I believe a student learns Maths the best by understanding what the theorms mean rather than memorising methods.
I base my classes on the school syllabus and the student's weaknesses in attempt to make his weakness a strength. I go through textbooks and extra material that I will provide based on my research and personal analysis of the student. Once the student is familiar with the general information I make him do practice questions on practice books and then past exam papers.
I'm a university math student who gives lessons to students upto grade 9 With my students I work on making their mathematical foundation strong and by eliminating the gaps of their subject knowledge. I try to develop the student further by giving him extra practice that will make he/she much better at the subject and further teaching the student on how to apply the knowledge.
Being a student myself, I have first-hand experience of what is necessary to succeed at GCSE's and A-levels (or equivalents) having gone through the process recently, which other teachers may not have.
I would be starting my second year at Oxford University doing engineering science in October 2017. I got 3 A* 's and 2 A's for my A level doing Further and normal Maths, Physics, Biology and Mandarin. I also did an EPQ. I also got 4th in the year for my first year exams here at Oxford so trust me when I say I know a bit of maths and physics ;) .
It varies from person to person I prefer to learn visually but others learn by repetition or practical application so it is down to the individual
I am a Mathematics graduate from the LSE (London School of Economics), achieving a 2.1 in my degree a long with A*s in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics, A in Economics at A-.Level. I am giving lessons to students from all ages up to A-level.

Teach students quick ways to learn concepts by offering cheat methods, whilst still being able to get full marks on a paper. Has been successful for myself so I try to offer a better perspective of the subject as I am younger. Am the most friendly person you will meet and will make the lessons fun and enjoyable.

I have just completed a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Warwick, with particular interest in Maths and its application. I have very much enjoyed learning maths and I am passionate about teaching it, be it at KS3 or GCSE level.
In private tuition, I establish student's interest and focus to science and maths by developing curiosity. I believe private tuition is more than just teaching the subject. I encourage my students to be successful by drawing their attention to the topic. Eventually, they feel motivated to learn and study. Different students require different approaches to learn and succeed.
I am an enthusiastic, approachable and patient tutor who enjoys making science easier and more comprehensible for A-level, GCSE and Key Stage 3 candidates who urgently need extra tuition in Chemistry, Biology, Maths or physics to boost their grades.
I tailor my tutoring towards each individual pupil as everybody learns in different ways.
Hello All and welcome to EggHeads! I've been tutoring for a while now (all my life if you include helping my friends at school and university!). I use a fun approach to help your child engage, as I strongly believe that learning starts with a great pupil-teacher relationship. Specialising in primary school maths, I also teach English and am happy to tutor to GCSE.
My preferred teaching method reflects that of how I teach myself content, very structured and planned, which has been extremely successful at university so far. Preferably there is a plan of what to achieve and continuation is dependent on the achievement of objectives.
I teach using exam past papers as high grades is what most students want to achieve. I go through every type of question so no unpleasant surprised can occur during an exam and students will be ready. This is after a good understanding of the topic has been established.
I prepare students for the exam by going through past paper questions and explaining in an easy way to understand, how they can reach the answer. I teach maths up to A-level or first year of most degree requiring maths.
My approach toward teaching maths is to first browse the topics the student is currently covering at school and identify any particular areas they may be struggling with. Once we've identified these potential problem areas, we can then work through them by using examples to solve them together to build confidence so the student feels able to tackle these problems individually.
My teaching method is based on the child's preferences and the best way they like to learn, whether it be interactive or purely based on me teaching the student. I will only move onto the next topic after being fully satisfied that the student has understood everything. I will plan on doing a little quiz after each topic to test what the student has learnt.
I believe that lessons need to be tailored to suit a students particular needs, so in the first couple of lessons I try to evaluate the level of the student of what specific topics they need to work on. I regularly go through exam questions so that students are more capable and confident when they take their exam.
