I will teach anybody who is willing to listen and follow my advice on how to pass National 4, 5 and Higher English. I will have a relaxed, honest and open mined approach to teaching. I have Dyspraxia myself and understand studying can be difficult for those of with Additional Support Needs and will not have any issues with taking on students with similar needs.
I feel I am a calm person and willing to take the extra time to ensure that my students have fully been able to grasp a concept.
My teaching methodology is to reworks the basics if needed, then with my students we correct errors in oral and written thanks to exercices, audio documents and visual clues but not only. It depends on the student, but sometimes he or she learns better trough differents methods as musics, books, arts, films even with theater. I just have to know what the student like the most.
Above mentioned I would prefer to teach National 5 level students as the course as a whole is easier to teach, in my opinion. However, if any Higher level students are needing help with preparing for speaking presentations, directed writings or translation I would be more than happy to pass over my knowledge.
Past paper and specimen papers are a really efficient way to identify areas of the course which need guidance, and is great for getting exam practice at the same time.
I try to approach each subject with a real world example to understand the fundamentals to build on, and work through harder examples with this idea in mind.

Hey, I'm Finn. I'm almost 17. I recently obtained an A in Higher mathematics, physics, chemistry and computing and have now left school to do artificial intelligence at Edinburgh University next year. I recognise 5th year is the hardest year of high school. What it comes down to is understanding and studying. With my knowledge, I know the ins and outs of these 4 courses.
My teaching method is specific to the individual. I notice some children understand and remember information more if they learn practically, whilst others retain the information better from written and analytic tasks.
I structure my lessons so that equal time is dedicated to both technique work, and learning pieces of music. This is to demonstrate that technique plays a large part in being able to play the guitar properly, whilst also achieving a balance with the more enjoyable side of playing pieces of music. I am open to teaching all students from beginner level to around Grade 7.
I first focus on building on any areas tge student may struggle on, paying attention to detail and ensuring the student understands, begore progressing on to working through pastpapers. I will provide a method on how to attack each question which can be applied in most situations.
Hello! I'm a student of Software Engineering at the moment, which means lots of maths! Luckily I've always enjoyed it and seemed to have been successful with it. I look to help the student actually understand the maths they are doing, rather than just memorising and repeating.
I look at the students weaknesses and build their confidence in these areas.I normally allocate an hour for each lesson to suit the students needs.I want all my students to succeed.
I believe English should be about exploring texts in a way that works for my students; no knowledge tests or 'wrong answers', just good discussions and essay-writing practice - and above all, I want to make it relevant to today's students! This could involve analysing song-lyrics as poetry, looking at online articles and social media posts, discussing favourite books - all with a focus on...
