A student myself, I understand the pressures of meeting deadlines and grades. I take an organised and methodic approach to learning- using mind maps, flashcards and other materials to encourage memory recall.
I am a graduate in Biology and Geology from the University of Bristol studying MSc Biotechnology at Edinburgh University looking to tutor students from secondary school age through to first year undergraduate level. I like to focus on supporting a student with their work from school/university.
My teaching style is personal and adaptive around the student. We will use a mixture of techniques from general revision to more interesting posters and creative styles to ensure the student can learn in their own way outside of the classroom, to then benefit them when they are back in it. PowerPoint presentations are not the only way a child can learn and this is what I aim to impress upon them.
My teaching methodology is to focus on the students strengths, by continually helping them to build confindence in that subject. As well as insuring that a wide range of topics are covered at a pace that suits them. I am also experienced in working with students that have anxiety or low self confidence.
I aim to teach in an informal, one-to-one style, where you will ask me questions about where you have difficulties, and we will work through problems together. I aim to give helpful advice tailored to you specifically, and lead you to your own answer rather than simply giving it to you.
My teaching methods have been proved to be easy and simple by my students as I prepare for all the resources like exam questions, extra notes and short question and answer booklets. I am a A- Level student and have passed the new GCSE's and therefore know new teaching methods.
I can personalise your learning depending on the needs of the individual. Happy to work with any syllabus : I specialise with working with student with SEN and can offer creative approaches to learning. I can assist in research projects. I can offer Question and answer sessions. I can explain areas of difficulty , with various ways to help remember and link learning.
My teaching method is to first gauge where the student struggles and tackle these areas, whilst still covering topics they don't struggle in, by covering what they know when tackling what they don't, the student remains confident. Lack of confidence is often the reason why many struggle.
I prefer face to face sessions in order to assess the gaps that need filling. I start from the basics, setup a plan if needed and focus on the practical sections that is important for the exams and future career. I will give a summary by the end of the session with bullet points to focus on during the exam revision.
My teaching methodology revolves around making fun and interactive lessons to achieve the learning objectives. I fee that interest is the factor which helps students learn and try to foster this by making science relatable.
My teaching method is informal, approaching each topic by encouraging the student to engage with the topic and really think about the subjects helping to further their experience.
My teaching methodology revolves around ensuring my students get a firm understanding of the basic principles of the subject so that they can confidently solve any problem. I provide my students with an understanding of the fundamental aspects such as physics, chemistry, maths and biology to enable them to learn and develope their own ideas within the subject.
I can help to complement your school work or concentrate on exam questions and techniques. I use quick multiple choice assessments to pinpoint sticky topics as students often spend time revising/reviewing stuff they already know ! I incorporate the prescribed practicals for biology.
Hi Guys, I am a Geologist who has extensive experience in both academic and professional geology. I combine this with a passion for the subject and a lot of patience to hopefully bring the best out of you. My experience wont just help with your studies, I can also give you an insight into what working in Geology will hold.
My name is Stephen and live in South Wales. I already hold a Geography degree and i am currently studying for my second in Healthcare science ( Life Sciences). My specialism is human biology. I have a positive forward outlook on teaching. No matter your ability i will actively seek to improve your knowledge and understanding of Human Biology.
I focus my attention on ensuring that the student has a full understanding of the subject matter, which I can test by asking for their interpretations and explanations of different areas of the content. This also improves their answering style. Then I go on to example questions so I can give feedback on their style, as well as give them an opportunity to practice with trick questions.
My teaching method is based on understanding through real life examples. I believe that learning Geoscience is a very beautiful way of exploring our world and youll be quite amazed to see how interesting things geologist deal with everyday! As I have the chance to have industry experience, I can really share with my student the knowledge from real situtations.
I am willing to teach any student at GCSE and up to A Level in certain subjects who wishes to pass their exams or simply improve their grade to the best of their ability.
I go each week by what the student needs and requests. There's no point teaching something unrelated to their degree or A Level, so I'm always here to listen and accommodate their learning needs. I will work on small tasks for the tutee to take and work on in their own time that won't get in the way of their work but will help them progress.
I try to base my lessons by being interesting and approachable as I used to hate monotone teachers.
Looking to teach A level of all exam boards to students. As well as helping give a very clear understanding of the topics, I also focus on exam technique and past paper questions. A student can go up 2 grades just through good exam technique. Having been tutored myself in Geology, I believe that students benefit considerably more from one-on-one tutoring than as a class.
To be quite honest my teaching method has generally been in the field or at a computer. I have given lectures on Structure from Motion 3d aerial surveying and contributed to computer based laboratory exercises looking at data acquisition from the Internet, remote sensing processing, GIS mapping and so on.
I am able to offer virtual and physical lessons where we focus on content, followed by exam style questions. I am open to tutoring biology, chemistry, geography and maths GCSE's (new and old syllabus) and biology, chemistry and geography a levels.
I base my teaching off my own experiences, I teach the way I would want to be taught, and using tricks and techniques that have got me through GCSEs, A Levels and now uni! I volunteer with the uni as a outreach ambassador teaching Geology in local schools and I also have past primary teaching experience.
well its all about teaching my students the core things they need to know about reproduction, be it on the male cell or on the female reproductive system , so therefore by doing this my students will have the key knowledge of the course
I can cater for various learning methods, whether you learn by memorisation, visually or other methods. I can teach GCSE level and below and am able to work around my student's needs with new activities per session for a sense of variety.
I like to tutor 101 with a question and answer based learning format. I like to encourage individuals to work through problems with my guidance with the end goal of the student completing the task using there knowledge with the addition of developing there skills inn a science based subject.
My main teaching method is Biology. Biology is a topic many students find challenging due to the amount of new terminology which becomes quite confusing! There are many similar words that mean very different things. I find the best way to learn new concepts is to try to link them to previous concepts and understanding in order to provide context for this new knowledge.
i got the Best Presentator Award in the University due to my best Innate professional skills of Teaching and Presenting myself, furthermore i was the position holder in my class so i know alot better about my subject.i have also worked in the field as a Material Engineer as well as i am working as a Hydro-geologist now a days in a Government project.
I organise my lessons to be interesting for my students to keep the intrigued while providing them with passive and active learning as well as giving them a chance to discuss. Furthermore, providing them with relevant information as well as detailed analysis.
