I have tutored for three years working with education concierge Allen & Jain, specialising in GCSE, A-Level, undergraduate and post-graduate level Art History tutoring. I have a vast knowledge of both Western and Non-Western art histories, covering a period from 1280 – present day.
History is not just a recitation of facts but also about enjoyment, in my classes we will read and complete given tasks but also engage with questioning types of sources and prevailing narratives. In this way any student will be prepared for whatever tests they will be taking as part of their education.
I am an experienced online tutor and distance tutor who gives intensive feedback to written assignments, online tutorials and occasionally home visits and gallery tours.
I will structure lessons according to a students' area of interest and desired number of sessions. I will provide PowerPoint slides of pre-prepared images and lists of key texts. My aim is to develop a student's understanding through comparative exercises and would like them to gain an awareness of theoretical and philosophical issues.
I give art, fine art, fine art history, drawing, painting and photography lessons to kids and young adults from ages 4 to 22 and in English or Hungarian. I have comprehensive professional experience of over 10 years having worked at various different projects, with antiques, fine art as an artist and photographer and choreographer combined with HR and Office management.
My teaching method is centred around student engagement and repetition of material that will be tested - be that words, numbers or formulas - in fun, creative and engaging ways. I find this gives the students the best grasp of a topic or issue.
My teaching method is directly inspired by my own teachers and mentors who imparted so much to me along my educational path. I believe in an honest and straightforward approach, one that aims always to provide a model for my students while also helping them to see in me a mentor who himself still has much to learn.
You don't know what's the best way to draft a communications plan or no clue on how to set KPIs or define communications objectives? You don't know how you can integrate social media and digital in to your communications projects and to maximize results and brand visibility? Well, just give me a shout. I am a passionate communications expert, with extensive experience in different industries.
My teaching method is based on the fact that I have always learnt best from peers, and that is what I wish to offer.
I approach sessions in the format of themes, whether we might be discussing a particular artist, movement or specific artwork. One thing I have learnt to be an effective technique is to construct a narrative to make each subject into a story, which makes it much more engaging and easier for the student to learn and memorise.
The most important thing during my tutorials will be to help the child stay focused and passionate about the subject, by using different methods of learning such as visual aids or interactive videos. I will also keep variety in my lessons and focus on aiding them to answer the questions themselves as opposed to spoon feeding them what is correct.
Having ADHD myself I understand how tough focused learning can be! From personal experience I find the keys to success are: breaking down and simplifying the task at hand (making it seem less daunting to begin and easier to work through), creating systems for organisation, and developing structures to enhance memory.
My principal teaching method is to READ READ READ and DISCUSS, of which the latter is what so commonly lacks in undergraduate education. I am used to high learning standards due to my own education at an honours college in The Netherlands and am looking forward to pushing my tutees to their limits. That is of course, to their limits in relation to their available time.

I am able to tailor my lessons to your preferences regarding topics. I have found that an interesting and useful way to approach art is through the philosophies and politics of the time however, if you have preferences I can take that into consideration and alter your lessons.
My teaching methodology is engaging with primary sources and secondary sources to provide a holistic teaching experience to my students. I provide tutoring on the structuring of essays and methods used to efficiently analyse Art History texts, objects and institutions.

Word and Image are always of my interest, so I chose to pursue my study a subject of art and language - Art History, and hope to help people to understand more about this charming subject. Language ability is foundational for such a subject, so I decide to offer language classes as well.
I approach each topic by breaking it down in a way that matches individual needs. I believe that everyone absorbs information, and approaches challenges differently, and my teaching style understands this with each topic tailored to suit your learning method.
Hi guys! It's Elena! It would be super nice if we could share some thoughts and get some hints from the marvellous world of Philosophy! So far so good, yet I shall stop my enthusiasm as well as this waffle talking... and get seriously into my methodology! I actually prefer to discuss the structure of the lesson with the student who requires my help.
