My teaching method will vary on what skill you want to learn, whether art history is required or just techniques. I can tutor any level from hobbyist to student. I can teach through example, presentation, or advice. I have a calm approach based around wants and needs of the student and pressure is only applied to technique if thats the goals of the student. If not in can be abstract.
I am a graduated illustrator working freelance who specialises in drawing and painting. I utilise traditional practices that cover a wide variety of creative techniques and processes. My teaching method will involve a range of drawing exercises to help develop aspects of design including perspective, scale, tone, colour theory and compositional layout.

My teaching method revolves around basic drawing ability using dry media, technique and the tools used therein rather than painting or artist study. I spend each of my lessons (usually an hour) focusing on a particular technique, setting light homework between lessons as a review.
I like to understand what works with the class and at what pace they like to work in. For Art this means minimal rules set out and if we're doing individual work then everyone can go at their own pace. For group work i tend to make sure everyones assigned something so no one feels left out.
Hi As a creative I have worked across a diverse set of disciplines from illustration, animation and moving image. I currently hold two teaching posts at the Open University and at Bath Spa University. My personal view is in that creativity is within reach of everyone.
