My teaching method will vary on what skill you want to learn, whether art history is required or just techniques. I can tutor any level from hobbyist to student. I can teach through example, presentation, or advice. I have a calm approach based around wants and needs of the student and pressure is only applied to technique if thats the goals of the student. If not in can be abstract.
I am a graduated illustrator working freelance who specialises in drawing and painting. I utilise traditional practices that cover a wide variety of creative techniques and processes. My teaching method will involve a range of drawing exercises to help develop aspects of design including perspective, scale, tone, colour theory and compositional layout.
I never draw to show a child how to draw do something. If I would show a child how something is drawn, the child would get the idea that my drawing is the answer. The child would think that her job is to copy my drawing. Looking at my drawing is a very poor way to learn to see for yourself. Eliciting a careful description from the student We cannot draw what we do not notice.
I am very adaptable and would be happy to focus on one media or skill in particular - such as drawing, painting, art analysis or photography - or to develop a wide range of skills and techniques with a student, depending on age, time-frame and requirements. I would be happy to tutor small groups.
I have taught mainly at degree level and A level. I have also taught leisure classes and in a secondary school environment. I'd be happy to assist with GCSE, A level, foundation, degree or MA level work or making art for leisure. I have a BA in Fine art, A PG diploma in Fine Art Printmaking and an MA (with distinction) from Central Saint Martins.
My teaching method is tailored to the individual, focusing on their strengths and improving their weaknesses through multi-disciplined, interactive experience. Overall the classes are laid back, enjoyable and there's plenty of tea and talk. I teach a range of fun activities, from drawing and calligraphy to sculpture and logo creation.
I have been told I would make a great tutor due to my patience, calm nature and perceptiveness. If one attaches my knowledge of art and experience in education to that then I would hope the rest will come naturally. I aim to boost confidence, listen to what the students desires are and work with them on achieving them.
The world of work is in a state of continual change: your career today may involve moving between a number of different job functions and employers, and those jobs and employers are themselves likely to change and develop during the time you are employed in them.
My teaching method is giving timely and specific feedback to students, organising subject content in meaningful ways that are personally and academically appropriate, and is aware of their own learning style and giving advice on how to achieve their goals.
Adaptive, I would understand the preferences of the individual and tailor my teaching toward them. I would structure easy tasks for each lesson and subsequent classes. Friendly and eager.
Learn by example I'll show step by step progression through a series of challenges. I'll provide the basic theory and principles that are required to create realistic illustration.
I am a student and therefore can relate to being in an academic institution at the moment. I have a lot of experience in art as a scholastic subject, as a hobby, and in a professional environment. I will aim to teach passionately and patiently, but most of all to ensure the creative spark is kept alive! So each lesson will be moulded to the student's needs and talents.
My teaching method revolves around basic drawing ability using dry media, technique and the tools used therein rather than painting or artist study. I spend each of my lessons (usually an hour) focusing on a particular technique, setting light homework between lessons as a review.
I like to understand what works with the class and at what pace they like to work in. For Art this means minimal rules set out and if we're doing individual work then everyone can go at their own pace. For group work i tend to make sure everyones assigned something so no one feels left out.
Hi As a creative I have worked across a diverse set of disciplines from illustration, animation and moving image. I currently hold two teaching posts at the Open University and at Bath Spa University. My personal view is in that creativity is within reach of everyone. Through creative activities we can learn how to improve the world around us, to make a change.
I have undergone a tremendous creative journey from my early beginnings at art school to my degree in Digital Art & Technology. As a result fine art is truly at the core of what is my passion for all things digital. Having a fine art foundation has proven to be an asset, affording a wide perspective when confronting creative decisions.
My teaching method is simple and effective, you will learn many little tricks to get the best grade you deserve.
I base my lessons on your wishes, what do you expect of the lessons. You'll learn step by step to develop good bases of drawing. I will be glad to give some lessons for a child, a adolescent or an adult beginner in drawing, with kindness and patience.
I'm a professional costumier who works in film, television, theatre and fashion. I've worked in departments with the BBC, Channel 4 online, Sky, ITV, Chanel and Christian Dior. I also sell portrait paintings and have had funding from the Arts Council England to develop my practice as an artist.
My method of teaching is totally based around what you wish to learn! I will talk through and demonstrate step by step the subject matter you want to draw or paint with easy techniques in the style you choose and teach new skills that can be applied to all artwork!
I believe in that everyone has strength and what to learn easier what I aim to find by several methods. I describe and show the task more times if needed, as long as my students confident to solve it and then develop their skills step by step to maximise their results and experience.
My lessons can be tailored to suit your preferences and level of working. It may vary from mastering the pencil creating life drawings to painting large scale acrylic paintings, and everything in between. Consultation prior to lesson.
The ones I can give the biggest help is young students applying for art high schools or universities. I can help collect a portfolio for the application, get ready for the exams, or just simply improve skills for the lessons.
My phylosophy in teaching would be to find someones strengths and empower those attributes and any weaknesses in art I can asssist and create strength.
