Hi all! My name is Rakesh and I have over 22 years guitar playing experience. I give lessons to beginners who have little or no experience and intermediate guitarists who are returning or wish to brush up on their skills.
For any beginner musician, the key is to give them the freedom to study what they want to study at the same time as imparting important knowledge for them long-term. More specifically, students could spend their time learning pieces that they have chosen which they personally enjoy or, if they wish, pieces that I select for them which I can tailor to their tastes (in genre or artists).
My teaching method has always been, I demonstrate a technique and slowly break it down for the student and play alongside the student as they learn if they need assistance. I always prefer there to be two guitars, however, one guitar is still possible.
I'm relatively new to giving lessons but strive to be as professional, accessible, and patient as possible. I will adapt to each student in accordance with their needs and abilities making sure the lessons are both challenging but also enjoyable.
