Hi there ! My name is Claire and I'm a teacher / musician based in North-West London. Music is my biggest passion and playing guitar is what makes me most happy, so my goal is to transmit this to you ;) I have been playing guitar for 10 years now, including 4 years studying music full-time in London.
I divide the lesson in two sessions: scales and songs. I can be very patient, calm and explaining everything until things are perfect. I can easily adapt to the level of my students. I accepts students from the age of 7.
I am a very relaxed and friendly tutor. I strongly believe that the important thing with music and learning an instrument is enjoying it. Often I will ask my students what they would like to learn prior to the session to ensure they will have fun, although I can arrange lesson material if needed.
I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN TEACHING GUITAR FOR LOCAL CHURCH MUSIC GROUPS AND COMMUNITY YOUTH CENTRES WHERE I HAVE PROVIDED GUITAR TUITION .I HAVE ALSO WORKED IN A HIGH SCHOOL IN A TEACHER ASSISTANT ROLE TEACHING GUITAR.I HAVE ALSO TAUGHT INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS TO ATTAIN TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY AND FLUENCY ON THE GUITAR .
My approach to teaching is the love of music. I want students to engage with the subject and enjoy what they are doing whilst they develop their skills and knowledge. I like to tailor my lessons to the individual and their desired outcome.
I am an experienced and passionate guitar tutor based in London. I teach to all ages, levels and groups. My lessons are tailored on my student's needs and each of my classes is 90 minutes long.
I am a recent graduate from Aston university where I studied biological sciences. My guitar experience is valuable to anybody just starting off and to anyone intermediate. My lessons are fun, engaging and inspiring.

For me, staying motivated is the number one priority for success in guitar. I know from first hand how it feels to lose motivation, especially when starting out. To combat this, I look to balance learning more technical aspects with more fun and easy songs, so you can learn quickly while staying motivated.

I am an A-Level student who has a passion for playing guitar, I am easy to communicate with and I am capable of teaching children or adults at a beginner to intermediate level, including students with additional needs or learning disabilities. I can assist students in song-writing. I am happy to teach different genres subject to student's requirements however I specialise in rock, pop and jazz.
I believe the classroom is a living community and that everyone, from the students, to the parents, must contribute in order to maintain a positive atmosphere. Everyone in the classroom contributes as a student, teacher, and thinker. I learn from students as much as they learn from me. All students are individual and everyone learns in their own unique way.
I have worked in an educational setting with children for more than 10 years. Working with children and imparting a love of Guitar and indeed Rock music is something that I enjoy doing and something that also comes natural to me. I have worked in educational settings and the school environment is a place I relish working in.
Not only will I help teach you the basics of guitar playing, from reading chord sheets and standard guitar theory, but also embed an invaluable musical passion that will help inspire you to strive towards other educational fields.
My approach with teaching is following the student's needs. I always create a personal program for each student based on their level and availability. I also like to teach my students their favourite songs and give them music to listen to.
I have a different teaching method to every student. After a trial lesson I can see what is the best approach and plan accordingly. It all depends on you speed of learning, abilities, experience and time. I wouldn't class myself as a professional and prefer teaching beginners that want to know the basics.
my teaching method is based on the necessity of the student. I will build a schedule to help the student to progress. During the lesson, I like to explain the subject first then let the student explore the subject through his playing.
My methodology always depends on each particular student. The learning process of a child is quite different from an adult's one. However, I consider essential the idea of enjoying while learning which is something applicable to all ages. I have usually worked with the music that the students like so I can turn this music into an exercise for them to practice and acquiring skills.
I would try as much as possible to target the lessons depending on your music taste. I am here to help you achieving your goals wether you might want to learn how to play your first chords on your guitar or perhaps to explore further intermediate/advanced concepts and harmony.

· Teaching students to play Classic, Acoustic, or Electric Guitar.
I am happy to give lessons to people of any age or any skill set. I want all my lessons to be focused around what you want to learn instead of following a textbook or curriculum. I want to make sure that the student is comfortable and we are moving at the right pace for each individual.
The most important part of my ethos as a Music Teacher is making music FUN & RELEVANT! This is huge for me as i was forced to learn piano growing up and it honestly just put me off music all together! Luckily, after a few years of nothing, i rediscovered music, but this time from a place of genuine desire.
