As an outstanding teacher of over 11 years, I have successfully taught my pupils to achieve or exceed their targets. These successes have come from inner city and private schools. My current tutees range from 6 years to 17 years of age. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Maths up to GCSE and KS1/2/3 English. I teach Primary SATs and 11 plus. I teach Functional Skills, Adult skills and EAL.
During our first session, I will learn about my tutee, including their likes and dislikes, whether they enjoy academia, and what, specifically, we need to focus on during future sessions.
My teaching method is identifying an individuals strengths and weakness, likes and dislikes and encorporating that in to their academic work.
Personally, I would consider myself as a visual learner, but I have experience in teaching my peers how to revise effectively and as such can adapt my teaching method to whichever way suits my students. If you know what school of learning suits you best we can take it from there regardless of your ability or confidence in the subject.
Have passion for English, which reflects in my teaching styles and student participation levels. My teaching delivery style is engaging, motivational, and stimulating one that captures student interest. My teaching offers students an understanding of society, communication opportunities and analysis.
Friendly, easy going, very determined and motivating tutor, I graduated from MMU with First Class Honors in Education Studies. My main focus is on the cognitive process of learning and getting the best out of each individual by working according to their strengths and weaknesses.
Students are prevented from learning material as teachers do not understand how to relay information in a manner that is helpful and consumable for a student. As a young tutor, I can relate to my students and that empathy allows me to teach more effectively. I believe in adapting my teaching mechanisms to my students, and encouraging independence and confidence in learning.
My teaching method is very relaxed, I like to adapt to the student's needs. However, I typically like creating real-life scenarios which the student is expected to apply their knowledge to resolve the situation. I also encourage debates as the more you talk about a subject the quicker you will understand and retain the knowledge.
I base my teaching technique around students interests and try to integrate games and interactive activities around complex grammatical and linguistic concepts.
I have experience teaching students up to GCSE Biology and A level Psychology, for KS1 - KS3 students I have experience teaching English, Maths and Science. I have also previously run 11+ booster classes to help students prepare for their exams and improve their confidence. I believe in catering classes to students strengths to help them strengthen their weaknesses.
I aim to produce insightful and enjoyable activities, so that students are able to learn in a positive environment, in a way that proves most beneficial to them. I can adopt styles to assist any individual learner.
My teaching methods include using lots of 11+ materials with a combination of lots of repetitive practice mixed up with games to aid learning
I approach classes on a very personalized basis, taking into account what the student is currently tackling in their regular classes and helping them improve in areas their teachers have identified.
I offer one-to-one tutoring in English Language and Literature up to GCSE level. I also offer support with reading and comprehension skills as well as homework help for primary school students.
My teaching methodology is fairly relaxed and friendly whilst still encouraging the children and helping them through advice and praise as well as humour! I will tailor the sessions to the child’s needs depending on what they need help with.
I am a university student from Nottingham and have tutored a wide range of students before. I try to change my teaching style to fit the student, as each person learns in a different way.
Every lesson will be geared towards each individual student. Often I will use PowerPoint presentations to create a multi-media approach to lessons. Lessons will start by trying to gauge the areas a pupil struggles with most, and then finding the least strenuous way to overcome such issues.
My lessons will focus on clearing the basic concepts first and foremost and then slowly progressing towards the more difficult and elaborate concepts. I'm an easy going and friendly 20 year old and willing to answer all your questions.
I give lessons to students from the ages of 11 and above, with a largely facilitative method that adapts based upon the learner's needs.
My teaching methodology is to tackle the parts you find tricky straight away so that no topic is scary. I believe that children should be fearless learners and there is no such thing as a silly question. I communicate with the children so I know what they are struggling with and what they are enjoying as I want them to be comfortable with my style of teaching.
I first start with a basic assessment - I like to look through my students previous work to determine the best approach to take and what areas need the most improvement. I like to take it step by step; focusing on one part at a time until my student has a whole, complete understanding of the task they are required to do and how to go about it.
My teaching will be based in a public library where you can use room spaces boards and a computer
I offer an individual based approach to teaching. We will work together to find out how you learn best, then I’ll introduce some strategies and techniques to help improve. I’ll assist your weakest areas of English first to establish more confidence. However, I can teach literature, language and drama in detail.
Classes, assignment supper and guidance also for personal statements. I offer one to one or online over email proof reading and spelling and grammar support.
I understand that everyone learns differently, so I try to make my teaching approach as adaptable as possible. Some people learn from reading, some from doing, and some from watching. Together, we will learn the best teaching approach for YOU. Likewise, some students need creative independence, whereas some (particularly those lacking in confidence) enjoy having a teacher to work closely with.
I am a primary education student who has achieved A grades at GCSE English. I aim to pass on the knowledge i have about literacy to be able to help children to succeed. Whether it be simple grammar help or test preparation, i am happy to help assist your child.
All lessons are planned and prepared using a tailored approach based on initial assessment from the first session. Progress being a fundamental focus of all lessons, ensuring all students achieve, many exceeding predicted grades. Using a range of GCSE & A Level exam resources I am able to equip learners with the preparation needed to excel during examination periods.
Having studied gcse English and Geography myself I know it can get a bit rough but it’s all simple, I also have poetry published and I love creative writing! I am fun and patient and will help you get there! I believe visuals are the best way to work and they keep anyone interested! I am available at the city library, on skype and can travel to you!
My teaching method involves more of activities which helps children to connect themselves to their study and help them remember the knowledge acquired. Too much of work can burden a student provoking him to only achieve the aimed goal anyhow therefore discouraging and distracting them from actually understanding what is being taught.
I am an English specialist that can help you or your child to improve in this core subject. **Please note: for adult learners I am only able to accept female students (this does not apply to children).
