Hi! I'm currently studying in my third year at university doing a BA (Hons) English Language and Literature degree, to which I will follow up with a School Direct course during my fourth year at university to become a qualified secondary English teacher. I believe that the best method to teach is to not feel as if a teacher is purely talking at the student and hoping that they will understand.
Many of my students started out as beginners usually learning an instrument for their first time.
My approach to teaching is to make lessons fun and engaging by using a variety of resources and activities tailored to the individual needs of my students. I have a strong knowledge of synthetic phonics and have helped several of my pupils to make great progress with their reading skills and confidence.
I am a qualified primary school teacher with a knack of providing engaging fun creative lessons. I provide lessons which challenge students in a way that is not too challenging that they give up or not too easy that they feel bored.
my pedagogical methods encompass student centred teaching, each tutorial is tailored to the students individual needs and requirements in order to support academic growth and achievement.
I am an old fashion teacher which prefer using books and lessons. I am learning the teachnology now to upgrade my way of teaching.
I try to recognise that my students are only kids and that they respond with different methods, I am more than happy to adapt my style to suit you. I prefer to make sure that my students get adequate resources that they can look at without me.
I am an enthusiastic teacher of English with a vast experience in the field of English and English Literature, Drama, Media, SEN and TESOL. I also have extensive experience in speech therapy, working with SEN children and ESOL requiring individuals. I am currently on leadership and a governor status. I am involved with Ofsted and other agencies to improve both pupil learning and teacher training.
I have a First Class honours degree in English and Creative Writing. I'm also currently studying for my Master's in Literary Studies at Durham University. In addition to tutoring services, I have a full and clean driving licence, and can offer school runs and babysitting. I can teach English to primary right up to undergraduate level.
I love finding ways to help all pupils succeed & will think my way around all needs, using many resources & different methods to enable pupils to progress. I have a 2:1 degree in English & Education & have taught at eight schools in the North and South of England.
I am a 22 year old freelance playwright and theatre director, currently working with London producers. I established my own production company during my degree and am now working to help develop the skills of others. I am enthusiastic about teaching and like to lead practical and creative sessions as I believe this helps students retain the information they have learnt.
