I've been an English language teacher and teacher trainer for 20 years. For the past 14 years, I held the position of Senior Lecturer in TESOL at a British University. I am now self-employed and support the success of home and international students.
I am a professional editor, proofreader and writer. I have a PhD in English Literature and have published works on different topics, both academic and creative. I have taught English Literature and Creative Writing for many years in Higher Education. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I proofread and edit manuscripts across most disciplines.
I have a lot of experience with academic study; I got 3 As at A level in History, Philosophy and English Literature, and studied Law for 2 years. I give lessons to primary, secondary, GCSE and AS and A Level.
Learning should be fun. No tutoring will work unless the pupil is motivated and engaged, my job is to help you or your child to discover the joy of learning and to encourage and support them to meet their goals.
Being a native speaker, i have always loved the language (la langue des amoureux), i am very keen on helping others achieve their dreams of speaking French fluently. I am passionate, caring and hard working person, i will do my best to make the lessons as bearable as i possibly can. I can give lessons to anyone who is still in secondary school.
I believe in teaching my students 'self-belief' and confidence. My most successful students are those whose enthusiasm and desire to succeed have contributed to their outcomes. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach all aspects of Health and Social Care. - Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a first class honors degree from a Russell Group university and a PGCE. I’ve taught over a thousand examination candidates over the past twenty years - with mostly A*, A or B results at A Level and GCSE. The student is always at the centre of the lesson, and I adapt what I’m doing and how I do it so that you can get the most out of the time.
The biggest thing I work on is making English literature fun and enjoyable, students perform better when they enjoy the texts. I'm all about trying different approaches in a clear and approachable environment.
My teaching methodology is offering both 30 to 1 hour lessons, catering each lesson to the pupils individual needs within a subject area. An initial assessment lesson will be required at a reduced rate to understand what planning and preparation is required within each lesson.
My teaching method is mainly practical activities that engage learner but that are also fun to use! The use of videos as a stimulus and engaging activities allow people to learn in a fun way that they find fun yet challenging. I will mainly focus on helping you decode words and phonetics to help read, and comprehensions to help decode and understand texts that may be used in tests.
I like to begin my understanding my students’ weaknessess as well as their strengths. I like to use the ‘fail to sail’ method for this reason - this puts the student on the spot a little but it allows me to see the gaps in their understanding in order to give them most specific and targeted advice possible.
I have taught English and Drama in Secondary schools for over thirty years, with students of all abilities. I also work as a GCSE examiner for English and Lit , so have plenty of experience in ensuring students are well prepared for exams. I am happy to help students of all abilities with general English support in KS 2 &3 and with helping pupils prepare for their GCSE exams.
My teaching method is repeting topics to help them understand. I approach each topic by reading over pieces and helping them to develop skills in which they struggle and keeping on top of their best fields.
Colleagues often marvel at my patience when teaching and what I usually do is try to focus on the individual. I am lucky enough to teach a subject that can quite readily be adapted to suit the interests of the person I am teaching at the time. My subject knowledge and knowledge of the world around me helps me expand on any interests that might develop in the student.
I am Hassel from a university with the course of bachelor of science in Medical Laboratory Science and I will happily give lessons to those who will be needing my help, especially undergraduates. Ofcourse, good teaching technics should be applied in order for my students to understand my lessons. I am a very happy, patient and loving person.
I offer a personal tutoring service tailored to meet the specific needs of your child. Whether it be gaining more confidence in the subject, working towards higher exam grades or the desire to be challenged to attain A* grades, I can help you.
An experienced, personable & outgoing education professional with very high-standards & abilities who thrives in all new challenges. Highly versatile in adapting to new working environments with key skills in education, administration, project work & reception skills; equally valuable as part of a team or working on her own initiative.
I am a very relaxed teacher and never force a child to complete a task unaided. I’d like to consider myself as a facilitator and allow the child to explore their own learning and explore the best way for them to learn.
I like to do a quick informal assessment of my students so I can get to grips with their learning style and the key areas we need to focus on. I like to bring fun to the English subject by including games and quizzes so that my sessions are engaging and the student can constantly reflect on what they are learning.
I offer tutoring for Primary school, High school and College level students who are preparing for exams, having trouble submitting assignments and need more guidance or creating study plans. My lesson structure is catered entirely to the individual whom I am teaching unless I am hosting a group session, where I will instead focus on the weaknesses/requirements of the group as a whole.
Hi, I'm Louise, a fully qualified English teacher (QTS), with experience in tutoring and teaching KS3 to KS5. My tutoring experience spans from Secondary English, GCSE, English GCSE resits and A Level Literature to tutoring students where English is a second language, all levels of literacy for the casual/adult learner and, University English Literature.
I believe that the best way to help and educate is through covering the basics, then building atop of those specifications in order to achieve a thorough understanding and thus, the best grade. As a university student, my academic knowledge is constantly growing, mostly due to the vast amount of advanced reading on other subjects I do in my spare time.
