I like to break down a general topic into manageable lessons. Each lesson will explore a particular section of the general topic (Religion in the Medieval Period - Lesson One; Exploring the role of the Church throughout Europe. Lesson Two; Relationship between Church and State etc.
I like to break the ice with students I'm tutoring and get them comfortable before I begin teaching, education can only go as far as the one who's teaching it and if the student dislikes the teacher then both will be wasting their time. With history I like to show my passion as well as how fun it can be and how important it is to look at the past to plan the future.
I am currently living in Belfast and have just graduated in a bachelor’s law degree at Queens University of Belfast. Since that time I have worked in document review roles for Axiom law, Abacus and PWC. I am currently an employee at PWC Belfast, acting in an analyst role for the past 15 months. I aspire to constantly take on new challenges and further myself with any skills I can acquire.
Newly qualified History teacher from Belfast. Studied at St. Mary’s University College and dedicated to teaching Modern History at GCSE and A-Level.
Lessons for GCSE and A-level are held in a similar manner with most students making similar mistakes. Methods of memorizing key details will be shared as well as help constructing compelling arguments and ways to validate points made. Furthermore, steps will be taken to ensure that students understood the lessons message and how it can be implemented elsewhere.
I am very patient and want to ensure we work at a pace and level that works for you. In our lessons we will review work already covered, check for any gaps in understanding and, if appropriate, lay foundations for work you might be covering later. I can also cover exam skills, practice questions and mark schemes if that is where you feel you need support.
I can tutor A-kevel or undergrad students on an individual basis or in small groups. I specialise in Irish history. Courses I currently help students with is nineteenth century Ireland or Ireland 1900-1925. Lessons last one hour or longer, if needed.
I deliver one hour lessons in History and Geography for secondary aged students who are in need of assistance for their GCSE and A-Level's.... Lessons usually last not much longer than one hour and include a fast paced learning environment to stimulate students grasp of key concepts and issues they are studying.
I am passionate about history: it tells us where we come from and how the smallest action can make a difference. It also embraces other disciplines - such as language and mathematics - in order to give historical ideas weight and substance. Giving these ideas a solid, persuasive form is why I chose to study history - and why I want to share it.
I am Victoria Hughes a student that is studying History for a degree at the University of Central Lancashire. I am extremely passionate about History raging from the ancient Egyptians to modern history e.g ww1/2 and Irish history. I plan to go on and do my PGCE to become a fully qualified teacher.
