My teaching method is looking at past papers and setting out perfect answers for these. I set my students homework to complete questions and in the following tutoring session we would go over this and correct and improve. This really helps the students get prepared for the exam and know the formula for how to answer a question to achieve a high level grade.
I am able to use a variety of different teaching methods such as direct instruction, peer and cooperative learning, but the teaching method I use is largely down to the student and what works best for them.
My teaching method is teaching each topic in the course based upon how questions are framed in exams. As well as, hyper focusing on significant and important knowledge points, with according analysis, to allow the individual to develop a deeper and clearer understanding of the subject, making them more comfortable for the impending exam.
I am passionate about engaged teaching methods that can inspire students of any age with a love for historical study. I am available for one-to-one lessons online or in person. Sessions focus on analysis of both original sources and historians' writings, to suit the level of the student.
I am a critical educator with a variety of experience in teaching social sciences and English with a focus on developing a model for learning based on students needs and abilities to construct knowledge in partnership with the teacher.
Hello there. My name is Tom Draper and i am a recent graduate from Edinburgh University looking to pass on my expertise in the subject. If you are simply looking for a bit of help with a primary school project, to help with high school exams, or maybe some advice and pointers in that undergraduate course that is simply baffling you then I am happy to help.
Here to help anyone from GCSE level to Undergraduates write essays in any discipline. History is my personal subject specialty, however, I give more general advice about planning, structure, grammar, and referencing. While I am a historian I ca advise on essays in any subject on the grounds of formation rather than content.
I think the key to effective and successful tutoring is a balance between support and independent work. Independent reading and subsequent discussion with the student about their thoughts on a particular subject is, I believe, essential to developing both understanding and confidence.
I’m a 20 year old student in my third year, studying History and History of Art at the University of Edinburgh. I’m willing to teach school pupils a range of topics relating to history, art and poetry at any level up to Advanced Higher (or equivalent). The teaching methods I use are always tailored to the student.
I am a recent graduate in History and Politics at Edinburgh University. I am bilingual in both English and Spanish and feel confident teaching either. I enjoy both face-to-face and online teaching. I prefer recommending reading lists but can also follow a particular book if easier/cheaper for the student.

I think the type of lesson that is most useful when dealing with history is an open conversation. I enjoy telling my students about all the necessary events and information that they should know, while also approaching it from different angles as to make it more engaging and interesting for the student.
I am currently studying a degree in History from the University of Edinburgh. Originally from the Scottish borders i am very familiar with the Scottish education system but also have a working knowledge of the English and international systems. I can provide additional assistance to students of any age in their education.
I enjoy teaching according to the needs of the class by giving synopsis of the important lessons and making the lesson more effective
Lessons are entirely tailored to the needs of the student and are contingent on their level of study, whether it be for school examinations or university-level assignments.
Studying History of Art and Architectural History, I come from a humanities background and am currently taking politics modules in addition to my main degree. Memorization of dates and names for success in History is futile, but the ability to analyze and link events backing it up with memorized dates and names is the road to victory.
I am a very approachable and friendly person, which I believe is key to tutoring. A student needs to feel comfortable and at ease with their teacher in order to express their feelings or their worries about their work. I tend to tailor each lesson to the student, first by working together to find out what they need help with and how they learn best.
I use multiple methods...I.e, Lectures, presentations, quiz, group discussion, homework, assignments ,readings and most importantly enhancing self confidence through vigorous participation.
I'm a University of Edinburgh graduate with a MA History (Hons) degree. I specialised in the Cuban Revolution for my dissertation and my research in other areas focused on Thatcher and 1980s Britain, South Asian history and international diplomatic history (e.g. Cold War diplomatic tactics). I am flexible to teaching students of all levels, whether at school or university.
My teaching methods alter with my students, as I like to sit down with them and work out an individuals strengths and weaknesses and adapt my techniques to match.
I am a history graduate with the willingness to learn a style of teaching based on each individual student and the best way they learn.
My teaching methodology is to try and make more hard to grasp ideas easily accessible. I would say I especially thrive in aiding students more challenged by the study of History, by simplifying both the topics and the examinations.
I base my classes around each student's needs and so the structure can vary depending on what exactly they hope to gain from it. For example, I can offer targeted assistance and feedback when working towards a particularly assignment, or similarly, I can provide longer term coaching if building towards an exam.
I am able to tutor up to Higher level in History and RMPS. I am happy to work on the course(s) as a whole, from start to finish, or to pick out specific topics that a student may be struggling in, depending on which is required.
