From the Tudors, the american west, jack the ripper and Weimar germany/nazis I base my teacher on how well a student can "ingest" information and if they are stuck or need help on a certain part of the module then will take more time for that so they eventually understand what they need to.
I am a full-time private tutor & educational consultant with over five years of experience. I am an English Literature graduate (BA) of the University of Aberystwyth where I especially enjoyed papers in Anglo-Saxon, Medieval, female empowerment and Viking Sagas.
I teach from KS3, up to and including, A-Level. I base my lessons around the knowledge, strengths and preferences of the student - some students love writing, others prefer to use diagrams, others prefer video clips or podcasts. I get to know my students well so I can understand their learning styles.
No two students can be taught in the same manner and thats why I strive to provide a unique experience for each individual student. I believe that memory retention and academic skills are best honed when the individual enjoys the experience of learning. Consequently, my work aims to provide a fun yet challenging approach to academia.

I am a first year university student studying law. I have always loved both History and Geography, and believe this will help me make lessons fun. I graduated from the University of Warwick last year with a First Class Honours Degree in History and Politics. I am enthusiastic and I believe in making history fun, ensuring that pupils are aware that the subject is about so much more than just being able to memorise a range of key dates and facts.
I adopt a person centred approach and incorporate conversation into the learning experience. I believe that a conversational approach helps to the student to express their thoughts clearly and logically, develops their critical thinking skills and confidence in explaining their ideas and understanding of a particular topic.
My teaching methods are interactive and focus on the students main areas of difficulty. I like to bring variety to the sessions, with a combination of question based activities, worksheets and modelling techniques.
