I give clear, interesting and well structured History lessons at GCSE level. I am particularly experienced at teaching Germany 1929-47, The Elizabethan Age and The Development of the USA 1930-2000. I pride myself on tailoring lessons to the needs of the students I teach.
I have tutored at GCSE level but can also tutor up to Masters degree level if necessary. The lesson structure i use takes one topic of the curriculum, construct a debate about a issue covered for students to discuss and deliberate, to challenge the student to ask more questions and argue their point in an academic manner.
I can teach in many ways, everyone is different and learns in their own way and I prefer to help them in their way
I teach from KS3, up to and including, A-Level. I base my lessons around the knowledge, strengths and preferences of the student - some students love writing, others prefer to use diagrams, others prefer video clips or podcasts. I get to know my students well so I can understand their learning styles.
No two students can be taught in the same manner and thats why I strive to provide a unique experience for each individual student. I believe that memory retention and academic skills are best honed when the individual enjoys the experience of learning. Consequently, my work aims to provide a fun yet challenging approach to academia.
