Education is key. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Business Studies GCSE and Alevel, Maths (KS1-3) and English (KS1-3). - Tell me about your qualifications. I have a honours degree in Business Studies (BA); I have a masters in ICT in Education (MA); I have a post graduate certificate in Business and Economics Education (PGCE).
I have taught in schools across the UK for 4 years plus, and recently started working in a school full time for a Maths GCSE role. Furthermore, I have been doing private tuition for 4 years in London and have created good relationships for which i still do online sessions on the skype or facetime video chat.
My teaching method is progressive development of the student. I'm giving highest priority to find the level of understanding of the student in a particular subject, then find the defects in basics, then mentor the correct knowledge about that particular subject.
Each class is tailored to the student.
I give lessons to primary, high school and university level. I use both Teacher-Centered Approach to Learning and Student-Centered Approach to Learning as effective ways of instruction.
My teaching methodology works by nailing each topic before proceeding to the next one, by doing this and having regular questions to keep up with past knowledge, the whole curriculum should be simple.
Principally, I am results-focused for the students to reach their individual subject goal. To enhance the learning experience, I do like to keep the tuition enthusiastic, upbeat and enjoyable - using plenty of worked examples and pictures/diagrams/practical demos.
I prefer to understand the basic requirement of the student and make the learning process a fun. This enables the student to focus more on the subject and understand the topic of mater better. It also helps to remove the stress.
Use of old past papers (provided myself), of the related exam board for the students to go through with in order to help gain experience and an idea on how to solve an exam style questions. A quick 15 minutes test on the start of every 2 weeks to see the progress of the student, whilst providing fundamental notes and any additional help via emails for any advance queries or helps required.
Have EU (Latvia) education, equal to A-level in these subjects. My teaching method is to bring the main idea of topic, not particular examples. After understanding the idea, we start to solve particular problems and questions. Usually, the first is theory, then comes practise.
I'd like to help anyone studying maths upto A-level, including 11+, KS2, KS3, GCSE, AS and A-level.
My teaching method is to start from the very beginning. It's very important to build a strong base where you fully understand the subject matter. Then gradually we can build on that base and start to learn more and more challanging things. I like to work with a lot of examples and exercises, as I believe that is the most effective way of learning.
I give lessons to GCSE students and my teaching method is starting from the beginning of the certain topic inside the subject or teach a specific part. I'm flexible on teaching and I can meet the persons need by showing enthusiasm and helpful.
I always prepare lessons beforehand and get printouts work sheets for students. In case they don't understand I will then explain from the very basic. I make sure they fully understand the content of the subject.Homeworks will be given for each lesson. I will also request the students to work independently after delivering the subject.
I approach learning as a process of understanding, not simply retaining knowledge. My sessions revolve around achieving full understanding of a topic so that in an exam or practical situation you will know the theory behind what you are doing, and hence will be able to achieve better results in everything you do.
I am not a professional teacher, but I have a Master degree in Science. I will be delighted to be helpful for those who have problems with maths. I don't have any lesson structures, methodologies, we will just enjoy maths, concentrating on concrete topics you've got problems with. I'll try to explain things in different ways and will provide with examples and tasks.
I am an Oxford University first year undergraduate but currently taking a gap year. I got A*A*A*A in Maths(AQA), Further Maths(AQA), Accounting(CIE) and Physics(Edexcel). I am able to teach all contents from C1-C4, M1-M2, S1-S2 and FP1-FP3. I have patience and enthusiasm in teaching students who aim to get higher grade in Maths.
I am a very enthusiastic and motivated tutor. I am currently a Year 2 teacher working in a challenging school in Coventry. This has meant that I need to be creative and fun in my lessons to engage my class. This is a skill that I believe ensures that all of my tutoring sessions are equally fun and engaging and that the children feel inspired and motivated to learn.
I am happy to go over any topic that concerns you and will listen to your preferred methods and work with you to achieve understanding. I am happy to do past papers for exams, or regular tutoring in preparation for something. I am kind, and really want to help you achieve your best.
I have a strong understanding of GCSE and A level Mathematics. As a tutor, my main aims are to make sure that the student develops a strong understanding of concepts rather than answering questions systematically. In order to do so, I prоvide аn engаging аnd infоrmаtive lessоn with deepened explanations tо my students.
I specialise in mathematics ranging from primary to GCSE level further mathematics. My method of teach would be video or voice calling and the student(s) can request upon the topic(s) they wish to learn. By interacting with my student(s), I can help them develop the required knowledge for them to prepare for tests and make it fun and enjoyable.
I'm an A Level student who is currently studying Maths, Biology, Chemistry and English Literature. I have past experience tutoring secondary school level children and have clear lesson plans each week to help develop your mathematical skills and technique. I'm able to teach primary to GCSE level.
My teaching technique is one of inspiring inquisitiveness. This is so because I have never been the fastest at grasping concepts, but have realized that when I approach it at my pace the retention seems to be much greater than others who perceived to have mastered the topics.
I approach each question in slow and a steady manner. Because I believe understanding is more important than getting through questions swiftly. I would normally use a lot of questions and examples to help explain the theories behind. I am patient, kind and understanding. I have been in your position and am still in your position of needing help in various areas of my life.
My teaching method revolves around the use of past paper questions and letting the children attempt to work out the answer themselves allowing them to develop their critical thinking skills whilst mimicking real exam conditions, taking the pressure off the real thing.
My methodology is analyzing where my student's inefficiencies are on a certain topic and focusing specifically on them. Once these inefficiencies are eliminated I continue on stabilizing my student's knowledge on it and only then proceed to a following topic.
I know the stress and worries that GCSE's and A-levels involve because not long ago I was doing them myself. Therefore I also know where exam boards try to trick students and where real world knowledge can bring a subject alight. Hopefully my method can help students not only beat the board, but also give them some real insight into where their subject can be applied.
I like to give lessons catered to the needs of the student. I like to assess them, mostly informally, as we go along so I do not repeat topics that they are confident in and also to make sure they are confident with the content. For example, we will go through a topic then I will ask them questions and ask them to explain then work on any gaps in understanding.
When I teach Maths, I make sure I find the best method in which a student can understand more on what I teach. I treat every student fairly because I believe every student have the potential to excel in Maths. In order to do this, I make sure I emphasise on the purpose on learning and application purpose so it provides a better understanding to students.
My name is Liviu Florescu, and I am currently studying towards a BSc Computer Science degree at the University of Warwick, and I am passionate about sciences in general, mathematics and computing in particular. Lessons are based on solving different problems and understanding algorithms, going beyond the simple, visible part and enabling the pupil to develop his/her own problem solving skills.
