Hello All, My name is Harry Mckeady and I am an IT Engineer based in central London. I have many years of experience working my way up in the IT sector and have taught, and have been taught, at many different levels from people brand new to using computers through to IT specialists.
I am passionate about teaching and assisting a motivated student in achieving their academic goals. I obtained a Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying and construction management from Sheffield Hallam University. During my studies, I conducted personal training for colleagues and juniors alike I love passing my experience and knowledge in mathematics, programming, networking etc.
I am a UK based academic researcher, writer, tutor and researcher at academicianhelp.co.uk. I have extensive experience in Information Technology, Computer Science and Statistics.
I have been a computer teacher for 10 years. Having taught Secondary school students in Microsoft Office and graphics, more recently moving into computing and teaching about how the computer works rather than how the software works. I have also taught the employable skills course ECDL, in which 90% of students came out with a distinction* I am a professional teacher with over 10 years experience.
Evaluate the student's needs and Direct, Online with required helping documentations. Every after each session there will be practical sessions and assignments which I will evaluate and pass the feedback. I will be available after the sessions for help requirements.
I am expert by learning, working with and teaching the mentioned programs. Happy to show you the basic tricks and tips the programs can offer and how you can use it professionally in your everyday or business life if required. * Easy to use step by step introduction and explanation, tailored to your needs.
I offer an informal and friendly approach to my lessons and can teach from the very basics of Microsoft Excel right up to business level. I will tailor the lessons to suit the student by first understanding the background of the student and what their aims and goals are. Every lesson is focused on their needs.
I can help you build and grow your basic computer skills, support you in learning the required skills to pass Level 2 functional skills, or provide training in the Microsoft Office suite for your career. I teach to support your learning journey, proving ideas and utilising my experience. I consider and support different learner needs and preferences, through a variety of resources.
Let me help you to get to grips with IT and various pieces of Microsoft Office Software. I can deliver training on Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint. Also other tools - get in touch to discuss how I can help you. I deliver training that is specific to the learners needs, and taking into account what the learner wishes to achieve.
My teaching method would first of all be absolutely clear about what my student requires from me in order to start at a point where my student is familiar then progress from there. I believe it is vitally important to only move on to the next level once the student has a full understanding of what has been taught.
I teach according to each student's abilities. I ask the student what they want to learn, and find out what each student already knows. In classes, there will be students in a range of abilities, some needing remedial lessons and others will require more advanced work. With this knowledge, I create schemes of work and lesson plans accordingly.
I absolutely accomodate to the other person, and adjust the pace and topics accordingly. If you want to focus on one thing only, we can go that way too, or dive into deep VBA doing some fancy macros. It all depends on you.
Basic knowledge with the overview of the topics to be covered. Going through topic by topic and then examining the knowledge as we go along. Testing the knowledge gained. Questioning the thinking process by pondering on the concepts and not the bookish knowledge. Asking for any improvements.
As a Primary Teacher I have an excellent manner with children of all ages and am comfortable working with young adults who require additional tuition to address any gaps in understanding of core subjects such as English, Maths and Science.
I base my classes on a certified Microsoft training program but can easily adapt my training to include any specifics you require, such as focusing on Word, Excel, Windows or Outlook. I can also cover things like anti-virus software and how to maintain and speed up you specific hardware such as laptop or PC.
I like to deliver my training in a way that all types of learner can benefit, whether they be an audio, visual or kinesthetic learner. I can create bespoke training or I have my own standard training courses but I happily work with you to achieve the outcomes you want.
As an experienced and trained IT trainer, I have trained all ages, from 6 to 80+ years to use computers and the Microsoft Office suite. I can teach any age to use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher and Outlook from beginner to advanced level via webinar and with email for questions and answers. I also provide exercises guides for your reference.
I would understand what you wish to learn and understand, and take you through the programs and their use to make you confident in using them yourself. I would be able to show you my screen and talk to you about what is happening.
I tend to try to leave out computer jargon as much as possible to begin with and slowly allow the student to associate plain english words and phrases with their computer equivalent. I have taken complete technophobes to a person who is very capable with computers.
I firmly believe in planned, simply easy to learn approach, so all my teaching methodology will include Downloadable study material for each topic Microsoft PowerPoint presentations where required Recap session Online support for students when required Videos Assessments Communication made easy and effective for students as they can choose from the below to contact me Email communication Chat
Instead of theory lessons, I believe practical method of training will be great so that students can grab lessons easily. Regular practice makes a person perfect. Now a days people know about PC usage but, they are not confident in using computer personally or officially as per best usage standards.
My approach is to prepare students for the exams they’re about to take. Firstly I need to understand the student, their strong and weak areas in the subject, etc. Then I prepare a curriculum and a road map to the final exam. There will be lots of practical examples and exercises and revision, involving past question papers to help them grow in confidence.
