Hello and welcome to my tutor page. I am Dean a UK based actor who specializes in teaching and directing between scratching that acting itch. I am here to help you in any aspect of Acting and gaining that edge for that practicle exam or audition. Everyone I have helped have their own story and therefore lessons change and develop to suit the person in question.
My name is Faye Weerasinghe and I am currently studying Acting (Musical theatre) at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. I have taught young beginners before, on growing confidence, using the space and being free. I have also lectured older members on how to succeed at auditions and prepare for them perfectly.
I am a second-year music student at Durham University, who is looking to tutor pupils in their academic music study (up to A-Level). In addition to this, I'm happy to help teach singing or assist in song choices for auditions, or performances. I'm happy to work in whatever way suits the student, whether that is one off advice, or weekly lessons.

JULIA MCDADE Drama, Performance and Voice Tutor Are you keen to learn more about acting, but not sure where to start? Are you desperate to perform, but too shy to audition? Do you need to improve your presentation skills, but don’t know where to start? Does your voice require further development and training? Do your interview skills need further attention? I can help you.
Having worked in the industry for years with some of the leading teachers, directors and actors in the business, I know many tricks of the trade to save, heal, restore, or hone a musical theatre talent. I have worked in the youth talent sector through to professional advisory.
Upon choosing an exam that is both challenging and achievable, we will work through the syllabus step by step. I am incredibly supportive and encouraging in my approach and no experience is necessary. These exams are enjoyable and allow your to grow in confidence. I will be taking on students to begin in September.
As previously mentioned, I am qualified to degree level so can adapt my lessons for any age group. I like to think of myself as laid-back and positive, and feedback from classes I've lead in the past tells me that my students enjoy my classes. I feel it's important to find the joy in Drama, as well as learning academically.
My teaching method is relaxed and fun, I base my lessons about whatever area of performance you feel that you need to improve on. The lesson is for your benefit, so you can choose which skills you would like to build on.
I don't believe that there is only one way to getting the results you want- Everyone is different and learns in different ways! When tutoring, I think it's important to be led by my pupil's abilities and needs, and work at a pace, and in a style, that is comfortable for them until they become confident enough to do so independently.
My methodology is based on what the student needs. I am fun and easy-going and will make the sessions as easy as possible. To start with, your first session will act as a mock audition. You will arrive with a backing-track and then we'll do the audition. I will give you a show that you can audition for.
I approach each session with a goal I would like the young people to achieve at the end of the session, whether that be completing the blocking for a song/monologue or scene. However I want my students to enjoy the sessions, I love playing silly warm up games and allowing the young people to be as creative as the want in developing their characters.
I can coach LAMDA exams, up to grade 8 in Acting and Verse and Prose, as well as other exams. I can also prepare monologues for your drama school auditions.
My teaching method is relaxed and fun, but I like to have a strong focus on the goals and aims of the student, meaning we will work hard together as a team to get them where they want to be. I believe the best way of learning is by doing, so I like to use a very collaborative process in which we are both equal and happy.
I am flexible with my teaching methods. Before the lesson we can email and discuss what it is you would like to improve on, how you need my help and any further information you need off me. That way the time/money spent is valuable.
Trained at the Academy Award winning School, The Young Americans in Los Angeles. Upon graduating was offered 8 international tours worldwide as a Teacher, Performer and Ambassador for The Young Americans - performing in various theatres across Europe, UK, USA and Japan. Teaching a variety of Musical theatre pieces, and also songs from Mowtown, Disney and Pop.
I like to try and cater my lessons to each individual student so that they can have a stress free learning experience and engage fully in tasks and activities. The first few sessions mainly focus on finding the right learning method for you as different students have different ways of retaining information.
I am a college student studying dance, I have a passion for Musical Theatre and want to pass this on to others. I listen to others to find out what is perfect for them, I am available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Weekends.
I work with anyone who has a genuine passion and desire to work on their acting skills; focusing on stage craft, storytelling and performance technique. As a teacher I try to encourage actors to explore their craft and take ownership of their talent and ability.
I teach from ages 3 up to the age of 18. I am still currently in the business which i use to my advantage as i know what techniques are current. I also teach all levels and abilities, from kids who want to do it for fun and kids who really wish to pursue it as a career.
My teaching methods are simple, react the piece you are doing the way you want it to sound if it needs tweaking I will help, Musical Theatre can also be used as a confidence booster or if you simply just want to have a new experience with the musical arts
The way I teach is to pinpoint key problems within the student's knowledge so I can help to reinforce their knowledge of the dramatic world. I also help to consolidate their knowledge by exploring the work practically so they can fully understand the piece.
Each class will be expertly planned based on level and needs. I am a kind and friendly teacher with the skills needed to help any person with their studies. I have a range of experience which allows me to teach basic to complicated theatre disciplines.
Evening sessions only Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Saturday all day. I am an ex-performing arts student who is trained up to A-levels.
Relaxed environment, no song is “too difficult” or “shouldn’t to touched”, you wanna bring me a sondheim, or a JRB, more than happy to do it, always happy to go through songs as many times as you need to there is no rush.
The first lesson with a new student would always be to set out clear goals that we would like to achieve. For example, get to Grade 6 in LAMDA (Acting) Examinations or work on Audition Technique. Lessons I offer include but are not limited to: voice and movement work, acting through song, improvisation techniques, monologue work and audition preparation.
I believe in treating every child as an individual and giving them reasons WHY they are learning in a certain way and how it will benefit them in general life. I am patient however if they are determined to pursue it professionally I will treat them as such. I also offer tips on how to make a career in the performing arts.
I am a university student with lots of experience in theatre and drama courses as well as performance.
Improving and working with actors is the most enjoyable aspect I take from the Theatre. I thoroughly enjoy working with talented and hardworking individuals to do my best to motivate and help improve. I'm offering one to one sessions with anyone over the age of fifteen who would like to work on various monologues and acting techniques in a personal environment.
