I have a first degree in physics and a masters in education. My classes seek that the student can compare the theory with events of daily life. Then the student can measure, quantify and make sense of what is studied.
Looking for GCSE pupils and secondary pupils who need help with Maths GCSE. My approach involves learning facilitation. A skill that I picked up while working with children and young adults in Nepal. This means I create a framework of support to encourage and nurture pupils to reach their full potential. Lessons are tailored to individual pupils.
I learn through visualisation of problems - I model examples on real life experiences and am patient when explaining. I will adapt to your way of learning and help you through any issues you may experience in school.
I teach Maths and Physics up to A Level standard, and could also help with Chemistry if you wanted. I try to break my lessons down by simplifying the initially complicated world of science into smaller, bite-sized chunks to help my students progress and achieve their goals.
I currently give 1-on-1 support to other students on my course, A-level students, and GCSE students. My teaching method is different for each individual as each individual is different and learns the content in different ways. But I make sure that each student walks away with the knowledge they need.
Hi, my name is Isobelle, and I am currently in year 11, about to sit my GCSEs. I am of Filipino and Chinese descent and I speak fluent English, Mandarin and Tagalog, I have also been studying German for 3 years and can speak basic Korean. I give lessons to mostly primary school children, but can also give lessons to those in years 7-9 as well.
Firstly, I am an A level student studying Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and History (I know, an odd deviation but I love it). I achieved 12 A*s at GCSE level and decided that I should probably help others study for their GCSEs by educating them in the various methods I used while also learning myself, news ways to study and educate.
My lessons are for anybody trying to make the mark of their desired goal, be it to do well in Science at KS3, GCSE, A-level or IB. We negotiate a study plan and have benchmarks we are trying to obtain. We review what we have done in the previous session, begin new work and check at the end that we understand the key elements.
I can teach maths in Japanese for Japanese students in Oxford.
I am a year 2 A level student wanting to give primary to GCSE level pupils lessons in maths and the sciences. I walk through past papers with students providing subject area knowledge, techniques to know what the question is specifically asking and advice on exam technique. I am calm, patient and encouraging with students of all abilities.
My teaching method is to target areas in which the student feels they are struggling, explain the concepts as simple as possible, and work through example problems.
While at school (in year 12 and 13) I ran a GCSE science club for 20 students by myself where I used to prepare resources in order to tackle challenging topics in their syllabus (GCSE specification) and help the students overcome their challenges.
