I like to work on a 1 to 1 level and with a clear area of the subject in mind. My lesson plan consists of consolidating the basics of the area of study, walking through and completing practice questions as a team and then allowing my students to complete questions individually with my help always on standby if required. I am a student myself and so I understand the pressures that exams bring.
I try to keep things simple! I feel if the concept is clear, there is no need to cram and that's what I try from day1. If the WHY is clear then WHEN to use a particular concept, automatically becomes easy.
I have completed my post graduate degree in Applied Physics in 2010 from Calcutta University. I have experience on giving tuition up to 12th standard.
I like to tailor my tuition depending on the student's individual needs as I understand and respect that each student is unique. The first step I take in my approach to tutoring new students is to understand and assess their strengths and weaknesses. I use different styles and methods of teaching depending upon the student's ability and attitude.
I am passionate about the value of education but more so about encouraging curiosity and inquisitiveness in young students. I believe this helps them develop the right mindset towards learning. Can use any method the student prefers such as visual learning with the help of diagrams and real world applications, or more theoretic and mathematical methods.
I teach 1-1 or small groups, and concentrate on understanding rather than rote learning. I have research and university lecturing experience, as well as school teaching and 1-1 coaching. I enjoy working with people and for me the best bit is when you understand something. Methods vary - it depends what suits you.
I am enthusiastic about all my subjects and I hope to pass that along to anyone I tutor. In general, lessons start with quick practice of the previous lesson's work. Then we spend the majority of the lesson working on new content that either the tutee has flagged up or that I think we should work on. I use a wide range of resources to appeal to all learning types.
I have a PhD in theoretical physics and I have worked at first-class universities including Imperial College and Warwick University. I have extensive knowledge of physics, mathematics and computing and I have taught successfully for many years. I am available to teach up to degree level in the Oxford area.
I feel that communication is an essential part of the tutoring process and not only do I offer a free consultation to get you started, but I provide regular written reports summarising progress. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Physics. - Tell me about your qualifications.
Very hands on teaching methods tailored towards individual pupil, eg can teach by using sports analogies. I find this method means the student can fully engage in the subject and I feel this is the only way that allows a full understanding.
I teach primarily secondary school and sixth from student maths. I would generally ask the student what they would like to get out of the tutoring sessions. From there I would either teach the fundamental background theory or guide students through exam style questions depending on what I thought was needed.
I prefer for my students to bring any work that they find difficult so that I am able to help them. I have a few revision books for physics. My teaching method is use of quizzing at the end of a lesson to make sure they understand what they have learnt. I like to build up an understanding of the area found difficult by the student so I can make efficient use of time.
I usually make sure students understand full such that they can be able to generate their own notes. My method of teaching is in-depth teaching, which allows students to not only learn but fully understand various concepts. When finding difficulty, I try and bring in models so visual help also. I am to teach for all learners; visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinaesthetic.
I have given both one on one lessons and large group lessons. In each case, I always try to approach each concept we cover from as many ways as possible, to allow my tutees to find an approach that they best understand in order to tackle problems.
I highly enjoy teaching, seeing someone's face light up as understanding dawns on them. I believe that students should be taught to understand a subject, not simply follow methods to be able to pass an exam. My lessons are quite laid back, yet efficient.
My teaching method includes for a particular chapter what see what different topics can be covered into it and then learn each topic in that chapter in depth
The teaching will be tailored around the student. In most cases I use homework in the early days to determine strong and weak points in the tutee's understanding. I have been complemented for my relaxed and effective teaching style. Even when we are working through an exam paper together needn't be a dull moment.
I'm a pilot that has an undergraduate degree in Physics. I currently live in Oxford UK and will be soon leaving to the states to live in Arizona for 6 months before returning to Oxford.
I am a postgraduate student, also employed part time on two research projects in the Meteorology Department at the University of Reading. I have teaching/tutoring /demonstrating experience in Physics/Maths/Statistics and a recent CRB certificate. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics at A level. - Tell me about your qualifications.
I hold a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and I believe the most efficient to learn is through thorough practical experience. As such, my lessons will entail examples with each new topic covered. I have in-depth knowledge of applications of calculus and electronics. This gives me substantial conjectural knowledge to tutor numerous topics in Maths and Physics up to and including A-level.
I'm a patient, passionate, enthusiastic and understanding student who's currently planning to pursue 4 A-levels; in Math, Further Math, Physics and Computer Science. If you're a student who's aged between 11-15 and looking to learn math, I'd love to be your teacher. I'm organized and disciplined. I plan my work carefully in order to make most of the time invested.
Experienced graduate teacher; a Chartered Chemist with a postgraduate diploma in chemical education. Former marker for Edexcel Board; ex-Head of Chemistry at Downside School in Bath. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Chemistry; Physics; Mathematics; Foundation Chemistry for university students. - Tell me about your qualifications.
Hi! I am an experienced tutor and am currently a student at the University of Reading. I work mainly based from online tuition, but also offer face to face sessions.
I am based out of Reading UK. I can teach You subjects either face to face or through skype and assess your assignment over mail. I can teach students of any level. I have taught students who go to school as well as students ungoing MBA.
A friendly person, with some online and offline teaching experience as well, can make study fun for sure as I believe in 'smart study'. I am currently a Master's student at the University of Reading and professionally an experienced software developer. I can even teach Mainframe languages if anyone is interested.
I have only had experience teaching GCSE and A Level, but would consider helping out undergraduates. As a scientist, I wholeheartedly believe in the value of teaching from first principles. You don't have to remember how to do something if you understand the concept. I also did not achieve my full potential in A Level, but I went on to achieve well at university.
I use a well-structured approach to tutoring and utilise innovative tools and practical examples to help students boost their confidence. I strive to help learners identify their weaknesses and turn them into strengths for highest achievement.
My lessons are mostly given to GCSE and A-level students, but I am happy helping anybody who needs some help with understanding any mathematical or physical concept, such as simple algebra or arithmetic to a younger student. As a current university student, I like to base my teaching style around what I have found most useful for my own studies.
My teaching methodology involves logical progression of key concepts and a keen focus on the actual understanding rather than just learning to pass exams. However exam technique will be covered in detail through past paper questions as it is a key skill and should not be underplayed.
I am an experienced teacher of Physics, Science and Maths, specialising in A Level Physics, and am focused on achieving the highest possible examination outcome for each of my students - Which subject(s) do you teach? A Level Physics (all examination boards) A Level Mechanics (experienced with Edexcel and OCR) GCSE Physics (all examination boards) GCSE Chemistry (all examination boards) GCSE...
