Hello, my name is Hellen and I am passionate about learning! I believe everyone has the ability to achieve in Science and that in doing so they will learn valuable skills for life. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I tutor Science and Maths at KS3 and GCSE, including Combined Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. I can also tutor IGCSE students in these subjects.
I am an experienced online and face-to-face tutor with a teacher qualification (PGCE) and a PhD in chemical biology. I am passionate about science and about enthusing young people, even those who find science difficult to begin with. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I tutor Biology, Chemistry, Physics. I also teach Maths and German. - Tell me about your qualifications.
I always start by explaining the theory and the concepts behind the topic, understanding the basics is very important !!!
My teaching style is friendly and relaxed. Many of my students have lessons out of school hours so I try to keep things informal and relaxed which works really well. I'm happy working from the all the main syllabuses such as AQA, Edexel and OCR. Hi. I'm Andy. I'm based in Herne Bay but come out to students or can teach online. My style is informal and relaxed.
I try my best to tailor my teaching method to each student, but generally, I tend to approach topics by simplifying them first (in order to help people better understand it), and then delving into more details through extra reading/ notes or practice (for example, test samples or exercises).
I feel confident teaching classes up to and including A level students. I like to start by focusing on areas that students struggle with and finding a way to make it easy to understand before going on to practice. For GCSE and A level students I often find completing a past paper in the subject is the best way to identify areas which need improving.
My teaching method is to give a general understanding of the topic and to follow it up immediately with questions focused on targeting those areas to identify weak areas of understanding. I feel like this method helps build a robust understanding of the topics covered.
A passionate Biochemist undergraduate with A-levels in Chemistry, Biology and Maths. I also have an AS in Physics. In my lessons we will start by going through the specification and highlighting the weakest areas the student has. Then we will create a study plan to strengthen the weakest area of knowledge specific to the student.
Unlike a lot of tutors out there, tutoring is not something I do whilst aspiring to pursue another career entirely. These tutors are often inexperienced, unenthusiastic and unreliable. Tutoring is my career of choice and it is with great pride that I offer the highest quality tuition and professional service.
I am an international university student. I teach according to your needs, so you have to provide me on some details on what you would like to learn and what examination board you are from. For example, if you have problems with differentiation in A-levels Edexcel Maths.
I believe lessons should be engaging and interesting as well as teaching the children the required content, I am looking to teach A level and GCSE level Physics and Maths. I only ask that the children be eager to learn and try their best.
Ma teaching method is like constructive by giving some examples and having interaction with the students..I always feel that clearing doubts about the subject in student is important thing in teaching . I teach for 11th and 12th class.. Teaching profession is always the best profession..
I am able to answer any questions you have about physics, including more trivial questions of a higher level. You will be able to ask for assistance on any homework you have but you will have to complete it on your own. I am also capable of teaching mathematics and chemistry at secondary level.
My teaching method is to use tools that can make the subject, topics approachable as a whole and first to find that the student is equipped with all the information they need to begin with the lesson.
Before a tutorial, I will ask a student to tell me areas they are struggling with or would like me to cover in particular. I will begin the tutorial with a brief run through of chosen topics, making sure to highlight key equations or concepts, going into depth with parts the student highlights as problem areas. After this, we will typically run through practice exam questions.
Teaching methods depend on the individual and the context. Within a school environment, science should be a practical subject which is hands on and fun. As a tutor it involves identifying areas of misunderstanding, revision, exam guidance, etc. Ideally tutoring needs to be tailored to the individual and the needs of those involved.
I have recently graduated from University of Physics with a degree in Physics. I have had experience of tutoring for A-level students and my University peers. I aim to offer an interactive, friendly teaching envirnoment. I utalise my experiences and methods learn't from previous teachers I've had to maximise the amount my students can learn in the time slot.
I believe a student should always work smart not hard. I try to explain or portray any problem or theories in a way to make the students understand them with ease. I help student to understand everything rather than memorising them.
My methodology of teaching is to broaden students minds to allow them to understand why, rather than how. My number one priority is getting students to realise that anybody can do well in mathematics with enough practise and thought.
I use an individualised approach for each student according to their needs. I explain that this is not school, they are the only student, I can go as slow or as swiftly as they like and they can stop me at any time to explain something or answer questions. Above all, students have said that find my lessons fun.
I find it most useful to go through questions around topics a student may have difficulty with in order to boost their confidence in the topic. This means they can then go on to answer similar questions individually, without beginning to panic and ignoring the question.
I can teach to a very high GCSE level, I offer a lesson structure based upon initial examples and understanding of the topic with aided problem solving where students attempt the question and have me to help and guide them how to properly answer the question.
Physics is a subject that seeks to describe and explain the universe we inhabit. It is, therefore, fundamentally grounded in our experience. Often pupils of the subject struggle because they lack a grounding in the subject, or because the concepts studied have not been linked to the pupil's experience.
My teaching method is to interactively solve examples of relevant examination questions. This allows further lessons to focus on any areas that require more practice. My intention is to strengthen the understanding and practice of applying underlying principles that underpin the problem solving process .
- Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach maths, physics and essay writing. I also run some 11+ groups from time to time. In addition to teaching content, I focus particularly on trying to change how my students learn, aiming to provide them with the kind of education and encouragement I would want for my own children.
Through my knowledge and experience students are able to progress rapidly and achieve a high standard of proficiency in their chosen disciplines. - Which subject(s) do you teach? English Language English Literature Biology Chemistry Physics , Maths and French.
When teaching I first like to grasp an idea of the students prior knowledge and anything that they are currently struggling with. I then like to base lessons on text books and weekly quiz's as I believe that being tested allows the student to cement their knowledge.
My teaching method is very friendly and positive as I believe stress can sometimes be debilitating for students. I first pinpoint which areas of each subject are most difficult for the individual and walk them through key concepts before moving onto practice questions and applications.
Before any classes, please communicate with me with topics you find you are weak on. I can also help test you and push you to your limits in your strengths if you wish to practice more. I am very open to any questions as its all a part of learning.
My teaching method is very visual and interactive. I like using colours, posters and videos to make lessons more fun.
