I like Science since I started to learn it in Primary School and I am committed to transmit my enthusiasm to others. I believe that learning can be fun, if lessons are well placed. Teaching science is an exciting opportunity to discover together and understand the wonders of the nature.
My teaching method is to often use similes to familiarise the children with the content and to entertain them. I also complement on even small achievements and break down the task into simpler steps to encourage the children into continuing. I get involved in the task with the children, working through the way together, so that children would not feel alone or commanded.
My lessons are for anybody trying to make the mark of their desired goal, be it to do well in Science at KS3, GCSE, A-level or IB. We negotiate a study plan and have benchmarks we are trying to obtain. We review what we have done in the previous session, begin new work and check at the end that we understand the key elements.
I can teach maths in Japanese for Japanese students in Oxford.
I focus on the points of interest in curriculum and relate other areas to it. This ensures that even the harder as[eats of a course is enjoyed and understood.
I'm Lydia, I am currently studying for a DPhil in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. I have just finished my BA Neuroscience from the University of Oxford (2:1). I have A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths (all A*) and an AS in Further Maths (A). I have 8 A*s at GCSE including sciences, maths and statistics. I can give lessons in GCSE maths, biology, physics and chemistry.
As someone studying mathematics at the University of Oxford, I teach with a focus on creative problem solving, as well as looking at the foundations of the mathematical methods. In this way, students can expect to fully understand the techniques they are using rather than simply apply them mechanically.
I am a professional engineer with a Masters degree in Civil Engineering and a strong background in Mathematics. I can provide tutoring for a range of topics, including mathematics, physics and engineering to a variety of levels for secondary school to undergraduate pupils.
I am studying physics at Oxford University (entry 2015) and received a Distinction in the first year and a First Class in the second year. I started from a small village in Greece and got into university by teaching myself physics and maths because I could not afford otherwise. Eventually, I scored high in the PAT (physics aptitude test) and the Oxford interviews.
-A little bit about myself: I am currently studying in University of Oxford on the graduate program "Nanotechnology for Medicine and Health Care". I have a bachelors degree in Physics from Lund University (Sweden). In my final year of bachelor studies, I have specialised in solid state physics and nanoscience.
When I am teaching I hold close to your syllabus and relevant text book. We willbe looking at exam papers and mark schemes, which is key to discovering what examiners are looking for and how to gain those crucial few marks that will improve your grade.
My methodology would be : 1) First, understand student background and prior knowledge. 2) Second, my focus will be on students confusions regarding their acquired knowledge. I 'll clear them as soon as possible. 3) I'll explain how the practical things are working around them with mathematics and physics principle. And then I'll move deep into it.
I have a BA in Physics (a 1st) and an MEng in Computer Science (a distinction) from Cambridge. I enjoy teaching, especially online teaching. I excel at helping struggling students with their approach to homework, problem sets, and exam practice.
I am a recent graduate with a first class master's degree in physics and philosophy from the university of Oxford. I tutor physics and maths at secondary and undergraduate level, working with students to find the best way to overcome their difficulties and realise their potential.
I study Engineering Science at Oxford. I can tutor you in any area of Maths or Physics at any level up to undergraduate (GCSE, iGCSE, IB, AS, A Level). Flexible structure: I will adapt to provide a lesson that works best for you.
I have 2 main methods of tutoring: 1. Lectures: Mainly aimed at students who need to catch up on material or learn things that they haven't yet learnt. I go through the topic of the day by explaining it, and not only lecturing the student, but guiding him or her and help deduce the principles of the chapter. 2.
My lessons include many illustrative examples, use of metaphores to make complex concepts clear and many student-led discussions and questions
I received MChem in Oxford in 2017, followed by a 4-year DPhil programme. I have been teaching secondary and high school students Math, Physics and Chemistry. I am fluent in Chinese. I am keen to share knowledge with students in all levels. The method that I use during teaching is to combine concepts and exercises together, covering the foundations and exam tips.
Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science/ICT, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computing Engineering lessons to GCSE, A2/AS-levels, University undergraduate, Masters and PhD students. Approach to teaching involves understanding of the student needs and catering my lessons/tutorials according to those and this method has always proved highly successful.
I am an Oxford biochemistry undergraduate wishing to give tuition in physics, chemistry, biology and maths to A-level or GCSE students. I teach the syllabus with my own methods of understanding and help students with their exam techniques - boosting examination results is the ultimate goal.
I hold an MEng in Mechatronics from King's College London, followed by an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Oxford. Am now in my final year od DPhil (PhD) at Oxford, reading Biomedical Engineering. I prefer teaching from an applied point of view, rather than a theoretical one, with many real-life examples to understand the conceptual framework behind physics, bioengineering and mathematics.
I am a second year undergraduate at Oxford studying physics. I can help students up to A level standard with maths and physics work, and up to GCSE level am able to help with other science subjects. I will structure lessons around what is best for the individual student. I will focus on understanding and mastery of material for coursework, beyond simple rote understanding for exams and tests.
I strive to establish a connection between myself and the student, trying to make teaching a two way process. I can deal with children of all ages and am very communicative. I am strict although my goal is to make the student curious and engage them. My students end up loving the subject we study together. Tangible improvement to student confidence.
I teach by a problem solving approach. I use a lot of past paper questions, I let the student take the lead with the first problem and provide support if they get stuck. Then I take another similar question and let them answer one on their own, before going back through it and giving them feedback after they have completed it.
For some people Maths is quite a hard and complex subject due to it's "complication" and hard understanding of it's structure, my name is Ali and i have lots of experience in that field i had to use loads of maths to solve many Engineering concepts, my qualities qualifies me to teach maths to people who would just like to have a better understanding of the subject or people who needs some extra...
I currently give 1-on-1 support to other students on my course, A-level students, and GCSE students. My teaching method is different for each individual as each individual is different and learns the content in different ways. But I make sure that each student walks away with the knowledge they need.
I base my teaching and tutoring on an engagement model and applied practise. Ensuring the student has learnt and understood the subject and content. Lesson reviews are also applied to complement the student, plus coverage of weak / needed material .
My approach depends on the age, ability and personality of the student. I think it's important to target areas where students' understanding can be improved, and to explain key concepts in a simple way, providing a foundation which we can build upon using examples, exercises and exam style questions.
