I am a 2nd year student at the University of York studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics offering lessons to students from primary school to GCSE level in Mathematics, English and the Sciences. Usually I will assess how they are working currently before devising a personalised study approach to help the student work smarter and not harder.
I am a twenty-three year old female, living in Sandown, Isle Of Wight. I completed my Leaving Certificate (A-Levels) for English in 2012. I have always had a passion for English and I have also completed my Preparing to teach in the life long sector Level 4 which has given me more skills with regards to teaching students.
I am able to give lessons to those studying for their GCSEs and A Levels and am more than happy to fully familiarise myself with any set texts. I prefer to teach using a method of guided discussion, in which the student may reach conclusion regarding their work themselves, with a degree of assistance.
I'm a friendly, cheerful instructor, and it takes quite a lot to make me lose my patience. I try not to do too structured a lesson plan, because everyone learns at different rates.
