I am 25 years old, I have a BA in Politics from Cambridge University, I also received a Humanities award from the Council of Independent Education in the House of Lords for my A Levels. I can teach Secondary, AS, A Levels and Undergraduates Lessons would vary based on the student, but i am a firm believer with writing subjects that the more writing and reading you do the better.
I am passionate about engaged teaching methods that can inspire students of any age with a love for historical study. I am available for one-to-one lessons online or in person. Sessions focus on analysis of both original sources and historians' writings, to suit the level of the student.
My teaching method will preferably be loosely based on the given syllabus of the student. We will then go chronologically through it, placing extra focus on areas of weakness the student may have.
I am a critical educator with a variety of experience in teaching social sciences and English with a focus on developing a model for learning based on students needs and abilities to construct knowledge in partnership with the teacher.
I set personally-tailored, realistic goals and use coaching methods. I endorse innovative, creative and modern teaching styles that practice kindness, patience and understanding. I have worked with children and young people who are disadvantaged and/or with additional needs and other social challenges.
Every individual learner has different needs during the learning process. The level and age of the student plays a significant role in teaching methodology. My method, most of the times, is bound with the concept of epagoge; in simpler words I find efficient to create a generalised abstract picture at first which can be easily comprehended before I delve into a more detail-oriented approach.
Aiming to teach A Level/GCSE standard students studying philosophy or Religious education. My lessons will focus on what you want to cover and learn with a particular focus on developing structures for philosophical argument. I am easy going, approachable and aim to help in anyway I can.
I take a very hands on approach to tutoring, developing lessons to suit the requirements of the student, rather than having a blanket approach. I can assist in general essay writing skills, as well as providing in depth assistance. I believe learning is best provided through practical experience, rather than simply being told what to do.
I can teach you new concepts of Psychology or Criminology, or clarify ones you have learnt already. I will proof read your papers and give feedback on what can be improved. Theories of crime, statistics related to crime, qualitative and quantitative methods of making a study, theories and approaches in psychology, cognitive biases and much more.
I aim to encourage enthusiasm in the various disciplines through obscure case studies and innovative techniques to enhance memory recall
