I will teach the course in units, focusing on individual subject areas each week, if possible matching my teaching schedule to the student's school schedule. I will also take into consideration requests to focus on certain target areas.

I base my classes on the individuals needs making sure we are going at their pace. First I would provide a short Maths test to see the areas they are struggling with and what we need to pay attention to the most. Then I would usually do a topic area from basic level to a more difficult level over a series of sessions, providing a small homework worksheet after each session.
At the moment I tutor maths at all secondary levels including GCSE and A-Level maths and further maths. Having graduated with a first class degree I am able to tutor undergraduates in both maths and economics providing they are in topics I have covered, which I can provide a list of upon request.
On line, teaching in classroom or going to students home.
I am happy to go over any topics that the students feel unsure on in their school work and will produce revision material for students to work on, both in tutoring sessions and on their own. I am studying A-levels myself so I will be tutoring students from primary level, up to GCSE level.

My first session is free, to go over exactly what the tutee hopes to gain from our sessions. After this, I follow a process of reviewing previous material, then teaching and testing new material, and finally summarising with a brief plenary, including setting further work if necessary. I also have an enhanced DBS/CRB check.
Having recently taken the new style GCSEs I am aware of the expectations required. I have learnt all aspects including the new level 9 work and have taught this to other students. In addition, my mother is currently a maths teacher in a secondary school and therefore will also be available for any help. As I am also studying science, I can show how the equations link together from maths.
From my previous experience of teaching, I start off by understanding the needs of the student and the level of communication or help that is needed. This understanding helps me to know what areas to put more efforts in and if needed, I research more on topics that need more focus.
I enjoy making lessons relaxed, laid back, fun and as educational as possible. I have taught a range of ages of children from 5 to 18 years, and am capable of adjusting teaching methods to suit all individuals.
My style of teaching depends on the level of mathematics tutoring that is required. For A Level and GCSE my main approach is to teach through PowerPoints then test knowledge through past paper questions. I also give students past papers to complete under exam conditions to ascertain the topic areas that need improvement.
Hi! I'm Amy, I'm currently an engineering student at Imperial College London on my summer break. I firmly believe in the importance of a safe and fun learning environment when it comes to teaching maths to take away some of the fear many students have of the subject.
I am Science lecturer. Experienced at teaching A level chemistry as well as GCSE science. Also have experience of teaching mathematics at secondary level. I have a BSc in Geosciences, an MSc in environmental science and a PhD in environmental science.
I like to pin point what my students are struggling with first to help with this as it will be a building block to harder parts of mathematics. Then once they have grasped that I will practice exam questions with them at their level which is most helpful with grades.
My teaching strategy is directed and inspired by each different student. Each student learns n their unique and personal way. I like experimenting with visual aids and showing the application of Maths in real life. In this way algebra, geometry and much more areas are put into perspective! The use of practicals and inquiry has also become increasingly common in my teaching methods.
- Calm but effective - Try to make it fun and relatable to real life - Easy to understand by giving examples - Lots of resources available for lessons and homework
My teaching method is first getting to know the student, their ability and the areas of the subject they require assistance in. I would work through these areas with clear examples, explaining each step of the progress carefully at as basic a level as possible.

I am a Year 9 at Westcliff Grammar school and is looking to help primary level students struggling at maths. I have never given official lessons but I have mentored at my school.
Every induvidual has their own learning method and I tailor my lessons to that. If I cannot help a student, I will usually ask for their parent's advice before referring to a different tutor. This has method has worked for my students so far.
Fundamental to practical solving skill. Math is simple once you got the right tutor and the right tools. It will be a whole new experience for you as I have accumulated many knowledge about math, some which in not exam related but just the art of math.
I try to tailor the lesson to the needs of the student and keep it fun and engaging so as to keep the student engaged for as long as possible. I aim to push the student to the best of their abilities and do tests regularly to ensure they have still retained the information taught to them previously. I hold a degree in pharmacology and i love being impacting on the younger generation.
My teaching method depends on the student and how they learn best. I also try to adapt my lessons to what the student wants. I can provide resources if they wish, on the other hand, if they want to use their own resources and work through things they already have I am more than happy to oblige.
