I am a friendly teacher working in the York area, where I am currently taking on new students. I prioritise making sure my students enjoy their lessons and the instrument they are learning and my aim is to suit lessons to each individual. As well as teaching individuals of all ages, I am also happy to teach in small groups, for instance, siblings or friends learning together.
I attended Chetham's School of Music and hold degrees from the universities of Manchester and Cambridge. I structure my lessons on the need of each individual pupil - and plan to enhance their progress as efficiently as possible. I believe in making lessons as fun and as engaging while keeping to a strict plan to enable maximum learning in the allocated time.
I have a friendly approach to teaching, always being encouraging and supportive whether it be preparing for an exam of just for fun. I like to inspire younger pupils to really enjoy music and find their voice within their instrument.
