Hello All, My name is Harry Mckeady and I am an IT Engineer based in central London. I have many years of experience working my way up in the IT sector and have taught, and have been taught, at many different levels from people brand new to using computers through to IT specialists.
My teaching method can vary, depending on experience of people I teach, I can be starting right at the beginning, or I can be starting in a different area if people just need to learn specific things, for example, setting up an email account.
I teach by example, with my experience, and the best way out of many options to proceed. I also have successfully navigated the difficult task of being a freelance contractor in an industry of big players. Not only will i comprehensively teach the skills and understanding needed to work in the industry, I will also go over how to approach clients, and how to build trust.
Hi there - thanks for looking at my profile! :-) I can teach you whatever you need to know for your Computing lessons, particularly relating to KS1, 2 and 3. I'm expert in eSafety and have written for 2 leading UK education magazines on the subjects of eSafety and teaching coding and computational thinking to young children.
I tweak the teaching methods depending on the preferred learning style of each of the student. Focus on practical day to day use knowledge for maximum utilisation. Regular tests to assess the knowledge gain and gaps required to be filled.
My teaching method would first of all be absolutely clear about what my student requires from me in order to start at a point where my student is familiar then progress from there. I believe it is vitally important to only move on to the next level once the student has a full understanding of what has been taught.
Practical and coaching lessons methodology, with plenty of repetition and guides concentrating on your weak points developing your confidence, I will go over any topic needed and will be able to walk you through real world applications of those skills.
I base my teaching on the individual as everyone is different and some people need a new approach when teaching. I will have a chat with you to find out what your needs are and base my tutoring on your needs while offering the best service I can so get in touch and don't be scared of learning those new computer skills.
I have previous academic and extra-curricular experience with IT due to GCSE and A-Level classifications in the subject, and will provide hands-on tutorials for this subject. I will focus on a hands-on, active learning approach for IT skills as this is how they are learned best.
I will give hands on lessons on basic use of Microsoft Office products including general use of computers and andriod mobiles for anyone who wants to start learning these products. It's aimed at first time users as well as intermediate who want to learn few advance features.
My methodology is very simple, I become friend of my students and teach them as a friend and partner. I do not force learning on students and carry each topic thoroughly with real life examples and answers to their questions.
I base my classes on a certified Microsoft training program but can easily adapt my training to include any specifics you require, such as focusing on Word, Excel, Windows or Outlook. I can also cover things like anti-virus software and how to maintain and speed up you specific hardware such as laptop or PC.
My teaching method is i'm into Lecturing and Demonstrating as once in a technical School i used to be more interested on the Practical side or the actual on the theory than the theory itself. of course theory as the guide but im more keen on the actual doing of the theory.
I am very much hands on with my teaching, I believe in practical as much as theory and understanding concepts. I am very easygoing and easy to talk to, understanding to each persons needs, everyone is different and learn differently, I have lots of patients and enjoy seeing people flourish.
My teaching method is interactive. I would like to keep the students engaged during the lesson by throwing questions at them and vice versa. I provide both theory and practical lessons based on the requirements of the student. I have charming personality.
I'm a very easy going. I don't rush my lessons as I want students not to feel that they have to be rushed into learning as I say "you learn something new everyday". I will be setting my units out into easy and understandable ways with little tasks and challenges to make learning fun.
I can teach you by working on projects as well as helping to grasp anything most people struggle with in basic computing. The lessons will be structured by student needs no matter there level. And will aim to achieve a goal by the end of the lesson.
Planning and preparation are key to my lessons, in order to give students the best education they can receive. I use computer technology heavily to make sure that I pass on my knowledge in the most productive but fun way.
My teaching method is very individual based. Within a class I try to adapt and adjust the lesson to best suit the collection of students present. I believe learning is a very personal action and not everyone will learn the exact way. I like to incorporate music into my lessons as a memory anchor.
I teach by keeping it simple and only moving at the pace that my students are happy with. Listening to my students is the most important part of what I do. I ensure success by getting my students where they want to be in terms of skills.
A bright and enthusiastic mature student experienced with instruction in a plethora of subjects both in school and in the outdoor activity industry. Willing to teach enthusiastic or challenging people up to level 3 (A-level), individuals or small groups (up to 5).
My Name Is Liam Thornton, I am currently Studying Level 2 ICT in college. I am Looking to make a bit of extra cash and hopefully help some people out with there needs/struggles, weather it be teaching a beginner how to use a program for the first time or just some refresher lessons. I'm Here and happy to help with any of your computing needs.
RESPONSPILITY • Good rounded IT & Programming knowledge in the areas of: • Systems Analysis Skills: Entity Relationship Diagrams, DFDs, Data Modeling • Programming: C, C++, Visual Studio, .Net Knowledge using C# and Web Services. RESTful, JSON, WFC, Entity Framework.
My teaching method is a very holistic approach, whereby I ascertain from the learner what they would like to achieve and find out what kind of learner they are i.e. kinaesthetic. Then I introduce IT skills to match and suit their needs. This normally starts by getting them to make a presentation about a subject they are interested in.
My style of teaching is down to earth using plain english and pratical demonstration to convey the knowledge and skills needed to learn quickly. I have a BSc in computer science and many other industry specific qualifications to support my students.
I teach based on what your needs are. From day to day devices error to how to install an operating system and how to keep it clean and in a fast working condition all the time. I don't teach programming because we have universities for that.
My classes are intended for beginner to intermediate users looking to learn basic computing skills, PC maintenance and how to upgrade or build a PC from scratch. I believe it is important to listen to the learning outcome each student expects as well as their learning style and adapt my lessons to them accordingly.
First of all, we should outline some of the typical difficulties that are experienced. It is often problematic for both JTEs and ALTs to effectively team-teach together. A very simple yet effective method of teaching is achieved by using the ARC approach. (as outlined by Jim Scrivener 'Learning Teaching' (1990)). Information on ARC teaching methodology and Jim Scrivener.
