I teach by example, with my experience, and the best way out of many options to proceed. My method of teaching is the TBL(thinking-based learning), it consists of teaching students to contextualize, analyze, relate, argue, convert information into knowledge and develop thinking skills beyond memorization. The advantage of TBL over more traditional methods is that it allows students to focus on real communication before doing any serious language analysis.

To understand how a student learns, and to show them the best way to achieve a solution. There is no better way, every individual has a unique way of learning, and some ways may be better than another persons ways.
I tend to try to leave out computer jargon as much as possible to begin with and slowly allow the student to associate plain english words and phrases with their computer equivalent. I have taken complete technophobes to a person who is very capable with computers.
Instead of theory lessons, I believe practical method of training will be great so that students can grab lessons easily. Regular practice makes a person perfect. Now a days people know about PC usage but, they are not confident in using computer personally or officially as per best usage standards.

I'm intrigued. I think I would agree that domain-agnostic knowledge, skills and attitudes are insufficient to fully address the demands of education, teaching and learning within 'computing' . So I definitely think a hard perimeter needs to be drawn around that 'blob' of computing sub-disciplines to say what is in and what is out when we are trying to answer this question.
I am a fairly adaptable person. But my methodology focuses a lot on problem-solving and I will make sure that even when explaining something completely new we have a final goal in mind - a specific problem we are trying to solve.
I approach each topic by talking to the student to enquire whether they have some understanding or presumptions. Following this I briefly explain the topic broadly, ensuring key themes are visited. I then focus on these key themes with a in-depth explanation which is then followed by a task or a quiz to ensure the student understands.
I like to approach people based on their skills and needs. A quick quiz should be enough to discover what you know. I am a patient person when it comes to teaching and if I see that the current explanation is not working for some reason I will try to base it on real life examples that are easier to understand.
When teaching I like to simplify the methods used. Often in IT related training, students consider tasks that they have not yet accomplished as overly complicated. Often the first step in explaining something is breaking it down into simple steps and explaining the reasons why that particular method is best practice.
My tutoring sessions are tailored to the individual needs with student(s) working at their own pace and I can provide learning materials too, if required. I can teach both individuals and classes, and I can offer Introductory Workshops dealing with the various elements of Microsoft Office, Desktop Publishing, Computer Building, and Computer Maintenance.
I feel it's easier to teach the way I learn which, I find is through practicals. Most of my teachings will be through tutorials and guides as well as the odd worksheet. Nothing too text heavy but it's also important to take notes.
