I want to help those students struggling in GCSE or A-Level Maths because I understand the frustration of not understanding a method or the seemingly complicated process of finding an answer. I will build up your abilities from more simple questions and progress onto the harder ones where you'll begin to recognise the similarities of those 'difficult' questions to the earlier, easier ones. I am 18 and know all about the stress of exams and will be able to relate to the pressure you're under to succeed.
I've had experience tutoring GCSE foundation maths while studying for my A-Levels in a 1 on 1 lesson. I used to struggle with maths and found ways to better my ability and achieve an A* in both Maths and Further Maths at A-Level and at GCSE.
I do not have a car and so travel from Leeds where only one bus is required is accepted, so I recommend online lessons as it makes it convenient for both of us:)
I am friendly and easy to talk to, which makes teaching students easier as they will feel comfortable around me which is necessary for them to learn. I always found that I was better at subjects where I could better relate with the teacher as I listened more and had more respect for them. Since I have recently finished school, I will be better at relating with the students because I understand the pressures that they are currently under. I was never quick to understand new mathematical concepts which forced me to find methods which were easier to understand, this now gives me the benefit of being better equipped to teach students that are struggling as I can relate to the frustration of being unable to grasp seemingly difficult and complex concepts.

o Taught GCSE foundation maths once a week for an hour and a half. Gave her more confidence in her maths abilities by talking through questions and giving personal advice based on her first attempt at a question which allowed me to understand her thought process.
I really enjoy teaching and it’s an amazing feeling when a student’s mind ‘clicks’ and they can begin answering those questions which were frustrating them in the past, but now can answer them with ease.
