I believe students need to be enjoying studying to be productive. I try to connect with students on a personal level by appearing more like a friend than an authority figure. Students will still understand the need to learn but my lessons/revision sessions will be much more informal than a lesson at school.
I first ask my student what their weaker topics are and explain these. We go through example questions, gradually making them do more of the work to understand and remember the process. We’ll repeat these topics at later sessions to recap.
I have experience of teaching university students during my degree and believe I have a friendly and effective approach to learning. I prefer a more relaxed style because I feel the most successful learning occurs when students are engaged and feel comfortable asking questions. However, I am very flexible and can also accommodate for students that would like a more formal, classroom-style approach.
I am available to give both mathematics and physics lessons to pupils of any age, up to and including those taking GCSEs and A-levels. My lessons are based on setting small milestones in order to achieve a stress-free, seamless progression of understanding within a topic while simultaneously raising the student's confidence.
My teaching method is to work through example questions with the student then allow a chance for the individual to attempt a question alone.
I believe in an all-round teaching method based on individual needs. I prefer to give a solid foundation needed for the course before moving on to difficult concepts. Since I am an aerospace engineer, I can help students doing mechanical engineering, aero engineering, aviation course and chemical engineering. I can also teach basic mathematics to all levels.
When I teach a topic, I try to make the student understand the reason behind the solution. I, along with people I taught, find this to help with deeper understanding of the topic, which in turn allows the students to get much better grasp of other topics that may be similar or directly related.
My teaching method is based on the intrinsic philosophy that mathematical studies possess. Understand theory via (counter-)examples and remembering it through them, saves you both energy and time. Each topic is approached differently, while taking into account the background and level of each individual.
My approach to tutoring depends entirely on the student and their individual needs. Maths is a subject that is shaped by a student’s individual perspective. Sometimes this perspective is the barrier to understanding and sometimes it’s the key to it. I’m here to help determine the difference. I’ve taught at all levels, from school to university, and to all abilities as well.
I help my students to enhance their exam confidence and perfect areas they might be struggling with, to develop practical examination skills, by working through practice questions and mock exams. This highlights weak areas we go through during tuition sessions.
The way I teach is unique, instead of giving my students the answers and asking them to memorise, I push them to understand WHY the answer is the answer and allow them to learn independently, I also teach my students how to revise, so their learning doesn't stop once the class ends.
I am currently studying at the University of Hertfordshire towards a masters degree in astrophysics. I have completed modules such as Mathematical techniques, Programming, quantum physics, electromagnetism, solar system physics and more! Lessons will be casual in order to create a personal bond with the student so that I can understand their position and how to help them excel.

I base my classes on first trying a few questions to ascertain the ability of my student at the current task. I then find any holes in understanding and misconceptions. Finally, we will work together to eliminate these both with explanation and practice questions until the student has a deep understanding of the topic and can comfortably answer questions on the topic.

I recently completed my masters which means I was a student not so long ago. My teaching method is structured around this fact. I believe that subjects like Math and Physics are understood best with practical examples, so I always tutor with a lot of those. I like to ensure my students have a solid foundation on the basics by reviewing key foundation concepts as well.
I appreciate that all students learn differently and so I like to adapt my style for each learner. My main foundations however are making the topics interesting and engaging through relevant examples and also ensuring a firm understanding of the core subject matter so that it can be built upon later.
