About Poppy
I aspire to enter a teaching career of my own in the near future. I am passionate about psychology and particularly interested in understanding how people learn in different ways. Through studying psychology, I have learnt that not all students process information the same, and that some struggle more than others for reasons that are often overlooked. This is something I strongly relate to, as I was one of those students at school who found learning difficult at times. Because of this, I am patient, empathetic, and determined to support students in a way that suits them as individuals. I believe my personal experience, combined with my interest in how the mind works, allows me to explain topics clearly, adapt my teaching style, and help students build confidence in their learning.

I offer a new approach to learning, adapting my teaching methods to the personal preferences of the individual student. As someone who struggled to find techniques which worked for retention of information, I have carefully crafted a variety of methods which cater for all. After much independently conducted research, I have found how different personalities absorb new information and retain it.
I offer lessons ranging in duration to suit the needs of the student. My offered durations are 45, 60 or 90 minute sessions.
I provide tuition to ages 5-16, key stage 1-4 of all academic abilities.
