About Lisa
- What kind of experience do you have?
This is a new venture for me. However, I have had experience in tutoring my own children and those of family and friends, all with a succesful outcome. I have also spent a substantial amonut of time researching the appropriate curricula and ensuring that I am familiar with the various exam board requirements, both statutory and non-statutory.

I have a BA (Hons) in English Literature and am able to teach both Language and Literature to GCSE standard. This includes Key Stage 2 tuition in English and Maths, encompassing preparation for both CEA and GL Transfer procedure exams and Key Stage 3 English tuition. I am available to work from my own home or from the child's and am currently CRB cleared.

A-Levels Grade A-C History, Geography and English Literature.

- How much do you charge?
£10-12 per hour depending on level eg. GCSE. Initial consultation is free and I will travel within a five mile radius at no extra charge. Discounts for group lessons and family members will be given.
- Where do you teach?
I will teach at home but am also available to travel to the student's home if so required. I am available to students in the Bangor, Newtownards, North Down area.
- When are you available?
Mon- Thurs 5pm - 9pm and Saturday 9 am - 1pm. Other classes can be arranged if the pupil requires special hours.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Key Stage 2 - GCSE. 8-16 year olds.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Transfer Procedure.
Key Stage 2 English and Maths.
Key Stage 3 English.
GCSE English Language and Literature.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
It is my aim to develop each child's ability to understand and use language and to incorporate this into their learning in all areas. Literacy is not only key to a child's learning but also to his/her personal growth. I support and utilise the ideas of the Northern Ireland Revised Curriculum which endeavours to empower learners and enable them to realise their full potential.
