About Katherine
As a mother... I drew from motherhood a passion to Teach.
Currently I work part time (in-person) at an elementary school as a (K through 3 Grade) Reading Tutor/Tier Three Literacy Intervention Tutor.
I also offer freelance literacy interventions online, as well as host freelance Art instruction.

Our literacy lessons will be set up for the specific need of the student.
I am a collaborative and focused instructor. I believe that we can make learning fun, while retaining effectiveness of strategy.
For native English language students: We will place a focus on the 5 Pillars of Literacy. This will include repeated decoding and fluency lessons. Including a variety of engaging intervention methods.
For ESL (Spanish) language students: We will place a focus on the building of foundational (English) literacy elements to grow your understanding. English Vocabulary will be a major focus! This will include repetitive intervention practice as well as English led conversation practice.
