About Jules
Hello, my name is Jules Dewey, and I am currently pursuing a career as an English Language Arts teacher. I am passionate about literature, writing, and nurturing young minds. With a background in child care and hands-on experience assisting college students with their writing and academics, I bring a blend of patience, understanding, and expertise to my tutoring sessions. My time studying abroad in Greece and Rome enriched my cultural knowledge, sharpened my communication skills, and brought a global perspective to my teaching. As an aspiring educator with a background in childcare and a passion for teaching, my approach as a tutor revolves around personalized attention and fostering a love for learning. My lessons are best for older students, in middle or high school, however I am open to any students or families who would like to work with me. I specialize in English languages arts, and can offer your student help with a variety of writing (creative writing, essay writing, resume writing, etc.), reading, and literature analysis. I tailor my teaching method and techniques to each student's unique needs and learning style. My typical lesson plan involves interactive sessions conducted online through platforms like Zoom, allowing for flexibility in scheduling based on the student's availability. What sets me apart as a tutor is my commitment to collaboration, not only with the student but also with their parents or guardians. By working closely with families, I ensure that I am meeting both the academic goals of the student and the expectations of those supporting their educational journey.
