About Yan
I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from Beijing. I have 1 year private teaching experience with adults.
I graduated from Beijing International Studies University studying Law and took my study further in the UK. I am now working as a Project Manager for a software company. I have solid Mandarin knowledge and I am passionate about Chinese culture.

As I have come a long way of learning English myself, I believe the best way to master a language is to use it. So I use Mandarin to communicate with my students on different topics. I form a connection with my students and they regard me as a friend. We meet up as a social way to learn Mandarin.
I am very mindful and considerate. I am also a natural problem solver who have great attention to details (thanks to the nature of my job). These traits help my students as I am able to personalise our lessons to them to help them develop and to be the best of themselves.
