I am a well read Philosophy student at Kings with A* grades in Literature, History of Art and Philosophy. I prefer teaching in a relaxed environment and often find conversational approaches tend to help students not only expand their vocabularies but also grasp difficult concepts by verbalising them. As well as this, I offer criticism/marking of essays and assistance in efficient and affective revision.
I have experience in tutoring A level students as well as secondary school students for English. I have also volunteered in Primary schools to help with the Key Stage 2 reading and can help develop the English skills of a student at any stage in education. My experience in aiding students has been ongoing since my time in Secondary education and since then I have continued to help peers and those younger than myself in the subjects I have pursued.
For group study/revision sessions I ask for £15 per student per hour. Group work is often very effective at GCSE Level but sometimes students may benefit best from one on one help.
I've been a teacher for 14 years and I entered the profession with a desire to teach philosophy to bright students. Colette is by far the brightest and most inspiring student I ever had the privilege to teacht. She's committed, diligent, a beath of fresh air. If she's a quarter as good a teacher as she is a student, you've hit the jackpot if she's your tutor.
