About Harvey
I have been a private tutor for the past 2 years for dozens of students. I also have experience tutoring throughout my education while a student myself, for the past 5 years. I have held tutoring positions ranging from GCSE Foundation level to Undergraduate Physics, and including Oxbridge admissions preparation.
On top of traditional tutoring I have lead my own Engineering and Physics lessons/workshops in summer schools. I have also been a high ranking Air Cadet with responsibilities teaching a number of non-academic lessons including field-craft, teamwork and leadership. My experiences in these positions have enabled me to grow my tutoring expertise outside of the subject areas themselves.
As for my academic experience - I currently hold a First Class degree in Physics from the University of Oxford, and a Distinction in Innovation Design Engineering (MSc) from Imperial College London. This is on top of A*A*A* A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and 8 A* at GCSE.

Hi there!
I'm Harvey and I'm an Oxford Graduate with a First Class Physics degree. I am friendly, engaging and extremely passionate about my subjects.
Every student thinks differently and it's my job to understand their approach and tailor my tutoring accordingly. When any of my students face a topic they don't understand, I break it down into more manageable components. Once my student has a comfortable understanding of the topic's constituents we will return to the initial challenge. It is also important to bear in mind the timescale leading to an exam and it is important for me to plan accordingly for the most effective results.
For my students who excel in a particular subject, I always propose more challenging questions in the subject area as well as often exploring more thought provoking areas in applications of the subject or related fields.
