About Rahul
I had a stint in the software industry for a while. I worked with big companies like Oracle and Cisco (was there for about 8 years total). While working, I used to take time out on the weekends to teach (not so privileged) kids in a community college nearby. This developed into a habit, and I thought of formalizing it. I enrolled myself with a professor to take her regular classes as well, so she could take time out to write her book. Sort of like a teaching assistant - just for the fun of it, I would say. Later, I realized that this is where my real passion was. After 3 years of doing this, I realized that I must have taught more than 300 students. It was time for me to quit my job and do this full-time.

I became a full-fledged tutor. I started with home tutoring, group classes, and lecturing in institutes preparing kids for school, SAT, AP, and ACT exams. Most of my students are always in the top 25 percentile of the test takers. Over the years, I evolved my techniques to make complex topics look simpler using graphs, charts, and other pictorial tools. Being from a technology background, I thought it best to dive into online tutoring. And it has worked wonders for me. I prepare my own notes for each class with my students and share them with them so they can revise after class. There are illustrations and solved examples, and homework as well in every class. Algebra, Pre-calculus, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Trigonometry, SAT Math.
