About Kajal
I am from Durban, South Africa. I am so excited to be working with Superprof, meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I am vibrant and open-minded, hard-working and driven, optimistic and persevering. I learn with each step that I take, seeing beauty in my flaws and imperfection.
I have been exposed to the sad harshness of disadvantaged children and it has ignited a passion within my heart to make a difference and improve the well-being of the lives of our future generations. My passion and love for children and people has driven me to work closely with the local community.
My Motto in life is: BE HUMBLE, BE KIND, BE GRATEFUL.
In saying that, my motto comes so effortlessly being in an environment where I can make a difference. Some people call it “volunteering”, I say “Step Forward!”
I stepped forward in organisations such as the Baby Home in Durban North, giving my time and care to new-borns from 3 days to 5 years of age; it has been so heart-warming. I’ve worked closely with the Phoenix Child Welfare, running the Zazi programme through the Department of Social Development. This initiative is aimed at educating girls between the ages of 15 to 18 on strengths, weaknesses, and HIV/AIDS (sex education).
Some of my hobbies include reading, dancing, modelling.
I believe that I have been imbued with noble values of life - right from a young age.
