About Youngmo

Hi, I’m Youngmo an LSE-educated Economics tutor specialising in A-Level, IB, and university-level tuition. I take a structured yet approachable style, focusing on helping students truly understand Economics and achieve top results. I graduated with distinction in BSc Economics from the London School of Economics, specialising in public economics and econometrics.

Professionally, I’ve worked at Bain & Company and HSBC, which strengthened my ability to teach Economics through real-world applications. Since 2022, I’ve taught over 100 students and delivered more than 1000 hours of private tutoring across Economics, Maths, and related subjects. My students include AQA, Edexcel, and CIE A-Level candidates, IB students, and undergraduates from universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, UCL, and Exeter.

Beyond the syllabus, I provide resources for exam preparation, university personal statements, and interview practice. I’ve also advised on EPQs, dissertations, and entrance exams including TMUA, MAT, and STEP.

Lesson Approach

A-Level, IB, and GCSE study doesn’t have to be stressful.

My lessons combine exam precision with deep conceptual understanding to help you perform at your highest potential.

You can expect: • Targeted improvement: Every lesson identifies your weak spots and builds mastery through guided practice and feedback. •

Exam excellence: Learn how to write clear, analytical answers that meet examiner expectations.

• Smart learning tools: I use Zoom, Bitpaper, and Google Sheets for interactive lessons, plus tools like Anki and Quizlet for memory efficiency.

 • Time-efficient strategy: My system helps students study less but achieve more by applying cognitive science-backed learning methods.

Above all, I want every student to leave each session feeling more confident, capable, and independent in their study.

Results

• Helped an A-Level Economics student rise from grade E to A in one year through structured question-answer learning and regular feedback.

• Guided an A-Level Maths student from a B to an A* by improving problem-solving structure and consistency across paper types.
